The coffee lovers consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.

Review #150 Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a cervoise goblet. A: Pours a jet black with a very dark brown bubbly head. Dissipates into thin film that leaves a great lace down the glass. S: Big coffee upfront with a nice sweet chocolate. Roasted malts and a nice toasted cracker taste. T: Again with the coffee and I love it. Coffee grounds with a semi-sweet bakers chocolate and toasted malt throughout the middle. There is a little bitterness from the hops at the backend, but it finishes very sweet. M: Very smooth and delectably creamy on the finish. Little bitter chocolate on the finish that mixes with the coffee. Perfectly carbed as well. O: Why must these be so good and only sold through the fall? Just like KBS this is an amazing beer and I cant wait two weeks until the CBS release. Ill just leave it at the notes I made when I was finished. "Yeah, awesome." Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-18-2011

12 oz bottle pours dark black with a big tan head. Aroma is coffee and cocoa. Taste is complex, coffee and chocolate remind me of a mocha latte. Chewy mouth feel. bittersweet finish. Great stout!

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2017 Bottled 9/9/16: Little to no Head, aroma chocolate coffee mildly detected. First taste very happy nice clean flavors of chocolate and coffee. Mouth feel perfect, just the right amount of carbonation and very silky in the mouth. This stout is very well-balanced and enjoyable. Not too sweet not to bitter easy to drink. If youre going to drink this for breakfast, limit to two. Nice relaxing body feel from just the right amount of alcohol. If you love coffee and chocolate this is your beer. Well done thank you founders.

Coffee, oatmeal, chocolate in nose. Pours very dark brown with tan head, poor retention. Taste is medium sweet to medium dry with coffee, oatmeal flakes, chocolate, spices. Medium bitter finish with some booze, average body, soft carbo. Overall very nice. It really reminds chocolate oatmeal flakes taken with coffee early morning.

A strong smell of chocolate and malt, some coffee. The small fizzy beige head disappears fast, the body is black. A taste of malt, coffee and chocolate, nice balanced with a soft sour touch. The body is medium strong, dry and creamy with a soft carbonation.
