5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
The perfect Pumpkin beer, and easily one of the tastiest overall beers I have ever had. All the extra flavors (pumpkin, cacao, cinnamon) taste rich and natural. The Porter aspect of the beer is excellent, rough, tough, heavy, and ready. Single Batch only, so get it while you still can!
Shared bomber showing a viscous, black/brown pour to my snifter, topped with brownish tan head froth, and dots & dashes of foamy cling to the lacing. The nose was malty, roasted, pronounced mocha notes, with a subtle blend of pie spices at this point. Medium+ bodied, with moderate carbonation, the spices picked up in the taste, highlighting the cinnamon & clove, and included roasted, earthy, and dry bitterness, along with a slight barrel-like/tannic astringency that all lingered well into the finish. Spice, and everything else going on, hid the pumpkin influence, imo, but still a very robust, seasonal brew. ads135 (5031) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - OCT 18, 2016
Not a bad imperial stout. Pumpkin is aggressive, but doesn’t overstate its welcome. Sweet and chocolatey. PorterPounder (8284) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 8, 2016
Portland, Oregon - Beaumont Market - 22 oz bomber. Motor oil-like black pour, long lasting mocha colored head that sticks around a while, Pumpkin spice aroma, hints of coffee. Bold, full-bodied flavor, chocolate, pumpkin spice, hints of cinnamon, a touch of topsoli and licorice. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Very satisfying. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 5, 2016

Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, geringe bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch nach minze, Kürbis, dunkle Früchte, schokoladig. Geschmack schokoladig, Kaffee, Kürbis, vollmundig. zoucrew102 (2104) - - DEC 19, 2015
Bomber. Spice aroma with notes of clove, nutmeg, cinnamon and nutmeg as well as roasted malt, pumpkin and chocolate. Pours black with a thin but retentive light brown head that has good lacing. Starts with roasted malt and chocolate flavors. Finishes smooth with the aforementioned spices and a bit of pumpkin flavors. Good pumpkin porter, thin with the pumpkin but still pretty tasty. Brown black with a cola brown head. Aroma is earthy pumpkin, and all the associated pie spices, and a mild tootsie roll chocolate note. Taste is very chocolatey, and rich and rounded, with a slightly burnt gingerbready goodness into the finish. $5/22oz WABeerFiend (426) - - NOV 24, 2015
Poured from a bomber today. A: Pumpkin puree, cocoa powder, and dark chocolate. A: 2 finger tan head with an easy pour. It recedes to a thin layer. Black body with quite a bit of red in the glass. T: Cocoa and ripe tomato dominate. Vinegar is there too. O: This looked good, but the strong taste of tomatoes killed it for me. I cleansed my palate and the tomato and vinegar flavors are still there. Infection? ajnepple (7059) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 22, 2015
22 oz bottle from Mulberry Max. Black appearance with a small, lingering, light brown head and patchy lacing. Aroma of ginger, cinnamon, chocolate, dark malts, pumpkin, herbs and other spices. Similar flavor, heavily spiced and mildly sweet. Light to medium body with a thin, watery feel for an "imperial porter". Too many spices.
