Overpowering fresh herbal and pine hops! Slightly cloudy golden color, with average head. Minimum malt balance as promised. Alcohol didn’t intrude. Best North Peak brew that I have tried.
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/20/2016. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, caramel, lightly toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, caramel, lightly toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, lemon/orange zest, pine, honey, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/sticky, and slightly slick/resinous balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an awesome wet hop DIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. This is a lot less aggressively bitter/resinous, and more juicy/balanced on the hop flavors than the previous batches. A highly enjoyable offering. willisread (3293) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 8, 2016
Bottle shared. Thanks Atticus! Pours a hazy deep copper with a finger of eggshell colored foam. Bitter twigs and sticks with lots of tree sap and resin on the nose. Earthy with a deep tree bark bitterness. Lots of tree sap, grassy notes. Bitter finish. PanMarek (422) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2016
Complex hoppy aroma -- the citrus and resin notes combine into a kind of grassy and earthy mix. Dark orange, almost brown pour with thick foam. Moderate to heavy hop flavor and body. Malty notes make the taste more complex than the aroma. Sour, resiney finish with mild alcohol burn. Surprisingly restrained wet hop IPA, especially considering the 88 IBU and 8% ABV. hotstuff (5139) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 17, 2016
Rated on 5-15-2016 (Bottled on 09/16/15) The appearance is a large frothy ivory head that is mostly lasting, transparent amber body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents citrus, pine hops, fruity, sweet, earthy, grapefruit, floral, and sweet caramel malt. The flavor presents moderate bitterness, citrus, pine hops, tropical fruit, earthy, sweet, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is clean with moderate carbonation. This beer is medium-full bodied. This beer has a bitter and grapefruit aftertaste. This is a beer worth trying and a beer that I would partake in again. shrubber85 (11322) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - FEB 13, 2016
Bottle. White pepper, berry, caramel malt and orange peel aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body. A bit on the sweet side but not bad.

Orange malt, melted orange sherbet flavour...

Really, really tasty. Block (2673) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - DEC 19, 2015
Dude. This is a good beer. It has a holly and piney aroma that caries to the flavor. Sweet finish. Potent at the end with a bite of hops and a little alcohol. I'll be watching this brewery. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2015
On tap at Null. Poured an amber color with an off white head. Floral, a bit earthy and citrus. ColovianTrader (464) - - NOV 27, 2015
Sweet light fruits, moderate caramel, juicy citrus hops and semisweet grains. Very fresh. Good take on one of my favorite styles. crossovert (12614) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 13, 2015
355ml stubby. Very earthy double IPA not too malty. Some earthy bitterness not the most interesting and way overpriced.
