Mc CHOUFFE is an unfiltered brown beer which is refermented both in the bottle and in barrels. Its fruity bouquet conceals a hint of bitterness.

A nice growler Mc Chouffe compliments of my favorite Joe Canals in West Deptford, NJ. Nice amber hue with a slight head. Nice honey like aroma. Nice crisp malty taste with a nice bite. Great beer highly recommended.

Ruby, dark brown from bottle. A light bit of sweet malts and a touch of cardamom. Good Belgian Strong Ale. Would recommend ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very enjoyable beer. Cloudy brown in colour. Lively carbonation. Toffee/treacle notes in taste.

Drank this already years ago, but never rated it. Bottle pours clear ruby dark brown, with big beige head that falls down quickly. Aroma is mostly dark malts, not so much more... Taste is rather sweet, brown sugar, caramel, and softly bitter; no development towards aftertaste. OK carbo. That's the thing with Achouffe beers: they're nice and easy, but lack special character.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2017 Appearance: Pours unclear dark brown with a off-white head, with lacing. 4/5 Aroma: Caramel, malt, yeast and fruit, with hints of hops. 8/10 Taste: Malt, caramel and fruit, with yeast and spice notes. No enough hops to compensate the sweetness. Sweet alcoholic warm finish, along with faint bitter notes. 6/10 Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, soft carbonated. 5/5 Overall 8/20

Bière brune avec quasi aucune mousse. Légère amertume et arômes bien développés. Manque légèrement de caractère.

Bottle from LCBO. Pours a huge frothy beige head that dissipates a fairly average size foamy head. Has a dark amber brownish appearance. Lots of dirty lacing remains. Aromas of toasted and bready malts, as well as subtle yeasty notes. Flavours are mostly on the sweet side, lots of resin notes and some nutty and toasty notes. Smooth and slick mouthfeel, goes down very nicely. Subtle bitterness in the finish. Pretty good.

Spab (4225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 16, 2017
750 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a murky mahogany colour with moderate-sized light tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is sweet tree fruit, dark fruit, brown sugar and caramel. Flavour has raisin, caramelized banana, brown sugar, caramel and leather. Fine carbonation. Nice.

Bottle from Booths Supermarket, Media City. Dark hazed brown with a very thin head. Has a mild darker malt sweetness with some Belgium yeasts available too. It doesn't quite feel its strength, with some hops evident in its aroma.
