Dark black. Tastes like chocolate milk...with a hint of hops. Creamy. Amazing porter.
(22oz bottle, 2012 vintage) Pours a mahogany body with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted grain, ash, and chocolate. Flavor of roasted malt, raisins, ash, chocolate, and coffee with a dry finish. GreatDane1632 (1169) - North Dakota, USA - MAY 16, 2015
Rated based on notes from 26 May 2012 -- Good porter, nothing special that hooked me. slowrunner77 (12147) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 26, 2014
"I was looking forward to this based on the goodness of their oatmeal stout. This was a solid porter entry, but nothing too exciting. Light roast, coffee, subtle hops. A little chocolate on the back end of the flavor. Standard, but good." Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - AUG 22, 2013
February 2012. From bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate and spice aromas. Slightly sweet at first, but finished bitter. A bit on the lighter side. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Dark brownish-red pour with an off-white head. The aroma has some roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is very similar with the addition of some grass character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Aroma is malt forward with notes of chocolate and roasted malts. Pours an almost black with a dark tan head and excellent lacing. After the nose, the taste was underwhelming. A mild roasted taste and then a coffee finish and aftertaste. Medium-light bodied with minimal carbonation. Overall, bland, almost no tastevat all…6will not buy again. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 20, 2012
(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear light brown, ring of fine tan bubbles. Nose is nice, milk chocolate, toasty, light roast, cream. Taste of watery chocolate, stale coffee, paper, light body, roast. OldMrCrow (2443) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2012

A somewhat underwhelming porter, cocoa powder but no spark. Ninkasi usually does better than this.
Bomber thanks to Mike. Pours a deep brown color with some mahogany, a beige head. A light nose of cocoa and toast. A pretty mellow porter with caramel, toast, light chocolate, maybe some hop bitterness. Very light. OK. robforbes (2246) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - AUG 19, 2012
pours a dark brown with a medium size khaki head and very good lacing.
