COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our ’Velvet M-80’ is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ipa with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown. Near perfection for the style! Perfect body and great sniff. Balanced flavors and full appearance that is very inviting. If anything it taste young and fresh, not matured but that’s how I like my brew! Try it!!!

From a 355ml can on 9/8/2017. Pours a reddy amber with a medium head. The nose features, caramel, toast ans some fruity notes. Tatse wise, it features a nice malt and sweet fruit balance. More caramel and toast, followed by lots of apricot and peach. The hops give it a firm bitterness, which features a decent amount of pine and resin. The palate is thick and the carbonation moderate. Super easy drinking for something approaching 9%. Lovely.

Can from Alko in Vaasa. Pours lightly cloudy amber. Aroma is strong pine, resin, forest floor, mango, passion fruit. Body is heavy, sweet and strong. Decent bitterness, and very piney still. Comparably soft carbonation. Caramel, resin, bark. Lingering pine needle palate, sweet. Good!

Can. Interesting but to me quite oversweetened power-hop beer. Resinous piney hops leave a not-that-long-lasting aftertaste. At least a little overrated...

330ml can served in an ordinary glass. Pours a dark amber color forming a medium, creamy and beige head with good retention and some lingering lacings formed and left in the glass. Strong caramel malts in the nose. Grapefruit, pine, mango and resin in the nose. Sweet upfront taste. Strong notes of caramel malts, pine, mango, grapefruit, resin. Strong bitterness. Good bittersweet balance. Heavy body. Medium carbonation. Pine, grass, caramel and grapefruit in the afteraste. Great American imperial IPA.
