Tap at Mikkeller Bar. I am not a huge fan of barrel aged impy stouts, but this one might change my mind. Unique aroma! Very thick, very sweet, very peaty, heavy whiskey notes that you can smell all the y from the tap till the glass hits your table. The tequila is more evident in the flavor and the whiskey a little more subdued. Notes of caramel, heavy roast, dark malts, alcohol, preserved dark fruits, licorice, wood. Finishes medium bitter with a little acidity and a nice touch of tequila and peat. Huge one. Impressed.

375ml bottle. Pours pitch black. Toast, dark chocolate, agave syrup, vanilla, dry toast, huge plum, blackberry, blackcurrant, soy sauce, lots of clean whisky. Huge full body. Amazing.

The Black Tasting hosted by Kraddel 17/10/2017. Aroma is complex pungent Tequila intertwines with whisky. Taste is booze, whisky, the sharpness of tequila, roast lingering. Interesting how everything blends in well. Color is lighter than other blacks. Aftertaste is sharp and boozy.

kraddel (9333) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 17, 2017
At the black tasting. Pours less black than the others. Small white head. Smell is sharp, bit boozy. Taste is sharp, grainy booze, very sharp, dark chocolate. Lighter mouthfeel. Too sharp and too boozy. Mild grainy alcohol.

Samtzu (629) - Palmerston North, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 17, 2017
375ml bottle. Pours a deep black with very slight off white head. Rich thick nose full of chocolate and alcohol. A noticable tequila note. Medium body with a strong alcohol kick. Sweetness and then alcohol, with bitterness and then alcohol again. An extremely complex and delicious beer but at 18.8% abv it's a slow dipper.

BlazerT (1333) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - JUN 23, 2017
Dark brown with almost none head. Nose is moderately malty with nice, raisins and deep fruits accents, far roasted, iodine, soy sauce, woody, spicy, tangy tequila notes, light to moderately boozy. Taste is light heavy sweet with long and stable bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is smoked, burning, sweet and tequila.

An aged trade bottle. Black pour, thin head. Whisky heat evident. Nose also has that trademark black char (which can be a little harsh) with super dark fruits, coffee, and an odd taste and nose from what I’m assuming is the tequila. A little rough and prickly - not really a big fan.

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Paloność, kawa, gorzka czekolada, lukrecja, ciemne owoce, wiśnie, wysoka goryczka, bardzo intensywne nuty torfowe, dąb i beczka po tequili też obecne. Znakomite.

tmrmwel (2314) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 27, 2017
Bottle, enjoyed five years before bbd. Pours dark maroon, with a small creamy, off white head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, with liquorice, agave, and smoked wood and as well as muscovado. Medium body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts, with liquorice, coffee, and agave, as well as leather, and some cocoa notes.

[email protected] Pitch black colour with a small, but long lasting brown head. Aroma is alcohol, smoke, some vanilla, liqorice and quite strong burnt sugary notes. Flavour is quite much burning alcohol, some liquorice, mild smoke, toasted notes as well as some toffeeish notes. Still a bit hot, but will most likely mellow out a bit with age.
