Bottled. Pours black with a small, creamy and tan head. Aroma of hard roasted malt, chocolate, whiskey and peat.. Sweet flavor that end up dry, with alcohol notes and slightly bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft to flat carb. A excellent impy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

33cl bottle at home. Poured a pitch black colour with a Nice beige head on top. Nose of sticky dark roasted malts, sweet chocolate, salt, oak, iodine, and Gentle peat notes. Also just a slight little fruit note of pears, char, and campfire smoke. Pretty Nice peated stout. And pretty balanced with the base beer. Not such a huge peat bomb as the ardbeg and port Charlotte. Nice one again from emelisse Svesse (8693) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUL 5, 2015
(Bottle) Black colour with lasting, dense, beige head. Malty, roasted, peaty nose with notes of strong black coffee, cacao, Islay whisky, peat smoke, tar and oak wood. Malty, roasted, peaty taste with black coffee, cacao, dark chocolate, liquorice, tar, peat smoke, oak wood and a vinous finish with a certain sweetness and a generous roasty bitterness. Full body, thick and almost oily mouthfeel. A certain sweetness. Excellent imperial stout with lots of Caol Ila character. Very nice. Stuu666 (14205) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 9, 2015

Dark brown to black beer, small irregular beige head, little stable, adhesive. Aroma: very peated, bit sweet, caramel, dried fruits, chocolate, mocha, bit fruity. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, lots of caramel, mocha, then all the peat flavours come out, smoky. Aftertaste: lots of alcohol, milk chocolate, peat, bitter hops, caramel, mocha, some coffee, smoky, ashes, more alcohol burning the throat.
Sehr dunkelbraunes, fast schwarzes Bier mit geringer bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, Kaffee, Schokolade, holzig. Geschmack intensiv röstmalzig, holzig, Kaffe, Schokolade, leicht alkoholisch. jmgreenuk (9743) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - FEB 17, 2014
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag.
Poured a deep mahogany colour with a frothy tan head. The aroma is strong boozy alcohol liqourice, dark chocolate and a little band aid. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich smooth alcoholic liqourice bitter palate and long smooth bitter finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation and a silky smooth oily mouthfeel. The whisky dominates but in a good way. Everything is nicely balanced for a BA impy stout. A heart warming beer and a winner from Emelisse. Bottle. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast, chocolate, and coffee, prunes, peat smoke notes, oak, and earthy hops. Flavor is dark malt dominant, dark fruits, peat smoke notes, whiskey, oak, light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation. Buongiorgio00 (934) - - JAN 12, 2014
OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 8, 2014
Bottle enjoyed at home. Pours a ruby-shaded dark brown to black body. Fully diminishing light brown bubble head. Bold peaty nose. Balanced by a gentle malt-sweetness, rounded roastiness and some fine floral and fruity tones. Big body. Smooth and juicy in the mouth. Taste is as peaty as it get. Yet not overdone, nicely balanced by a sweet, chocolatey malt base. Balancing bitterness, some fine fruit and oak notes. Not fully balanced, but I don’t care. Utterly complex with good drinkability. Very well crafted.
