This one is fantastic. I had it once and I was really looking forward to having it again. It introduced Schwarzbier to me. It pours black or dark brown and smooth with a faint brown tint and a beige quick disappearing foamy lacy head. Smells great. Roasted malt which comes with coffee and caramel then moves to a fruity backberry with cherries and dried frutis like raisins and some general malty sweetness with spices. Sweet. Smooth body with medium carbonation. Starts with a caramel malt and liquorish herbal, roasted malt, with a soft rost dry hop finish. Smooth to drink. Bold taste and sweet malt in the end the coffee roast lingers in the mouth. It gives a new meaning to lagar. Should be more like it. Excellent.

Ar: Soft, fluffy malt with a smooth roast; bit of herbal hops with fresh-grass notes; very slight sulfur. Ap: Dark brown and opaque; medium tan head with moderate-good retention, leaves a thin but solid cap of foam. T: Melanoidin maltiness, a bit of cracker; herbal hops, touch of pineapple; roast is very subtle, refined with a hint of ash; lightly chalky; bitterness is medium, with some slight black tea, both in bitterness character and flavor; yeast profile is quite clean, but has a single note of pineapple, very refined. P: Medium-light body with high carbonation; finish is very dry. O: A good schwartzbier; roast is very fine and subtle, really making the beer seem like pilsner here and there; some nice malt and hop flavor; drying, crisp, and clean.

een schwarzbier;een donker pils achtige bier met zeer zachte smaaktoontjes;best lekker donkere mouten, beetje rozijn maar vooral vlak vluchtig en zeker geen honing terug te proeven leuk om eens te proeven, geen stayer

Bottle. Clear dark brown colour with a medium tan head, nose is malty, roasty and woody with notes of black bread crust, liquorice and syrup and some metallic hints, taste is more malty and less roasty than the nose, almost like an amber lager or helles, finish is only slightly bitter.

Butelka do 24.22.17. Ciało lekkie, dobrze pijane, tekstura lekko oleista. Nasycenie średnie.

Aroma: Very subtle liquorize notes. Appearance: Very dark brown/black color with clear sparkling liquid and white head. Taste: Medium bitterness with light sour notes. Palate: Medium body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Bitter finish with liquorize touches. Overall: Very subtle notes in general. To drink cold. It leaves a chocolate memory.
