Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 500ml bottle into a tall weizen glass. The abv is listed on the back label (5.1%) but there is no freshness date. Appearance: The body has an orange/yellow color with a cloudy haze and some visible carbonation. On top I got a thick and creamy off white head. It is long lasting and makes slick lace ring which slowly slide down the sides of the glass. Smell: The aroma has notes of sweet bubble gum and banana peel with just a light touch of wheat malt. Taste/Palate: The flavor is not as sweet as the aroma foreshadowed. Tangy wheat meets the tongue first with a light clove banana yeast notes following. A touch of citrus and spicy/leafy hops leads into the finish which is crisp and fairly dry. The firm medium body has plenty of active carbonation give it a lively snappy texture. Notes: I love the texture and finish on this beer. Some German Hefeweizen beers get a little to slick on the palate but this one is crisp and feels alive with carbonation. Overall this is an outstanding Hefeweizen.

On tap. Fogged orange-yellow, white foam. Aroma: malt, wheat, banana, light acidity, a little whey. Taste: full, malt, wheat, banana, a little smoked cheese. Pleasant.

I didn’t get much of the vanilla notes. It does have the expected banana and clove taste however it was a tad bit too fruity for my liking. The style is pretty spot on though and its a good overall hefeweizen but its not the best hefeweizen I have had.

Clear golden with white head. Wheat with a spicy belgian yeasty touch with some banana. Not really for me... Maybe need to try it again in the future.

Una buona weisse colore perfetto e schiuma persistente. Al naso punta acidula, lievito e agrumi. Al palato dolce con punta fruttata.

As the description states, this beer does have a long-lasting fluffy white head. I detect no vanilla or fruit in the aroma, instead spicy. Like most things, it tastes like it smells - spicy. However, as far as "spicy" goes, it doesn’t overpower, and doesn’t linger with aftertaste. And in fact, though I don’t prefer spicy beers, this wasn’t bad at all. If I had to choose a spicy beer to drink I would probably select this one.
