COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

Wow! Thank you Hop City B’ham for bringing this in! Unfortunately it only lasted for a few hours before selling out. After trying this beer, I understand why. Growler poured into a tulip glass. Oily black pour with a fluffy tan head...lacing all around the glass. Nose is absolutely fantastic! Bourbon, chocolate, burnt sugar, creamy...just wonderful. Taste is chocolate milk and bourbon with a nice alcohol burn, certainly a sipper. It gets better and better as it warms. I enjoyed the standard Breakfast Stout, but this really takes it to another level. Wonderful bourbon barrel aged stout!

Draft served in a snifter glass in less than ideal setting, but it's KBS! Note I've thoroughly enjoyed this from bottles in the past whenever I could come across some. This rating is below those experiences. The smell of bourbon is a primary characteristic of this dark oily beer. Taste is semi-sweet, mild-moderately roasted, and accented by oak flavors. Thick, rich, and a pleasure to drink as always.

Black with a dark brown head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is strong bourbon and hints of chocolate malts. Taste is bourbon, and vanilla. Does not have the watered down or heavy taste, but does have a alcohol burn. Lives up to the name with the bourbon, very slight chocolate, and hints of vanilla.

Pours dark and oily with a rich, thick head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and bourbon, in that order. Flavor is an explosion of chocolate and bourbon, mellowing to a rich coffee aftertaste. The beer has well-earned its reputation as among the best imperial stouts around.

boozy musty wood flavor. Some licorice and black coffee too. It's super strong and certainly a sipper. Probably the most intense flavor I've had in a beer but not something I would buy again for that exact reason. My palate isn't up to par lmao. i dont know what to rate it because of this so im just going with a 4

Lots of coffee, hints of raw coffee, bitter cocoa, vanilla, wood, bit earthy and spicy. Oily black color with minimal sized brown head. Bitter cocoa, earth, vanilla, raw coffee, some alcohol in aftertaste. Full bodied, creamy, oily, soft carbonation. Really enjoyed it. //bottle thanks to iznogud
