COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quadrupel is La Trappe’s heaviest ale with a stunning amber colour. Its warm and intense flavour is rich and finely balanced. Malty sweet, slightly burnt, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Quadrupel continues to ferment after bottling and offers aromas of banana, almond, vanilla and others.

0.33l bottle. Dark orange body, off-white head. Aroma of banana, dark fruits, yeasts and caramel. Tastes like banana, caramel, yeast with a decent level of spicyness. Long lasting aftertaste with noticeable alcohol. It really tastes like a very good weizenbock for me. I love it.

Postgusto a fruta madura y fruto seco.

W aromacie zarówno ciemne suszone, jak i czerwone owoce, jakieś rodzynki, wiśnie, figi. W smaku znowu owocki, rodzynkowo-karmelowo, wiśnia wyczuwalna, trochę drożdży, alkohol pięknie ukryty.

0.33l bottle. Almost totally clear amber color with medium sized beige head. Aroma of banana, roasted malt, citrus, nuts, yeast and spices. Taste is sweet and little bitter with alcohol making its mark in significant amount.

Bottle from saveur-biere.com Pours dark red. Nose is citrus, banana, almond, vanilla, plums. Palate is banana bread, sweet plums, orange, spicy finish. Not as complex, still a good beer.

Bottle 30cl, bought at a local supermarket. My absolute favorite beer. A complex beer that stands out in many ways. The color of the beer is sort of dark orange. Has a complex, sweet-like aroma. The beer gives a roasted taste with some bitterness and especially caramellic sweetness. In my opinion, the beer has some pleasant coffee/chocolate hints, and hints that give some wintery feelings. For a 10% beer it doesn't appear to be strong/alcoholic, but mostly sweet, complex, and enjoyable. I highly recommend this beer.

10% Heavy malty. Bitter. Like a very malty amber. Like a double or imperial IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (fairly fresh). Hazy dark amber beer with large off-white head, good lacing. Aroma of dried fruit, raisin, spice, plum, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light+ bitter, of dried fruits, plums, spices, caramel, light alcohol. Spices, fruits and alcohol in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Good quad, but not impressive - too boozy and not very dense.
