COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned - 150 cl, 75 cl, and 33 cl bottles. Named Grande Réserve in 75 cl bottles, and Magnum Grande Réserve in 150 cl bottles.
Chimay Blue is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer. This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. Its flavour, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations perceived in the aroma , while revealing a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.

Pours a chestnut color with a smaller, slow collecting pine white head. Smells of rich fruits and grains, with a sticky molasses and toast tint. Tastes of lightly of honey oat bread, dark fruits and nuts. Has a weak start, but continues through to a full, doughy mouth. Finishes rich and doughy.

Fles gedeeld door LiekevdV in Luxemburg. Het is een stevigschuimend donker bier. De smaak is wat bitter met gebrande mout en drop.

Dark brown red color, very cloudy. Medium tan head, persistent till the end. Medium carbonation. Full and creamy body. Aroma is malt caramel, wood, light chocolate, spicy, yeast and dark fruits (dried plums?). Taste is caramel, dried plums, cloves (and other spices), bread and some bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and very long.

Karmel, owocowe estry, przyprawy, trochę alkoholu. Średnio treściwe, półsłodkie. Niska goryczka, wysokie wysycenie. Fajne, chociaż liczyłem na trochę bardziej złożone i intensywne piwo.

Overraskende mild aroma. Stor fylde i munden. Fuld krop. Masser af korn, kaffe og chokolade. Fantastisk varmende alkohol feeling.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 Zapach typowe belgijskie brzoskwinie. Smak wytrawny i trochę alkoholowy. jedyna wada to trochę za wysokie nasycenie.

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a fluffy head. Apple, chocolate, slight floral nature, caramel, biscuit, alcohol heat. Strong, rich, very tasty.
