COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Adam is a recreation of a historic beer-style, originally made in Dortmund, Germany and was the first Beer ever released from this Brewery. He is made with Northwest hops, organic pilsner malt, and a variety of specialty grains. The beer is rich and smokey, with notes of chocolate and dark fruit. Best served as a dessert beer. It is great with cigars, or just a warm fire and good company.

This is one of the most complex beers tasted - flavors range from chocolate to cigars to smoky rich malt. The 10% alcohol is well masked and the beer has a great warming attribute, perfect for colder weather. If you ever go to Portland be sure to go to the brewery. The beers on tap are amazing.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2017 On draft at the brewery! Aroma 8 /10: date, plum, cinnamon, clove - lots of winter spices Appearance 3 /5: dark brown, little head Palate 3 /5: sticky, syrupy, boozy. Very little carbonation. Taste 8/10: raisiny sweetness and plum skin bitterness initially rounds out with chocolate and savory notes. Overall 18/20: really beautiful and complex beer, I can appreciate this even though I'm not a huge fan of the style. Final: 4.0
