COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.
An extension of Quercus Alba the Firestone Walker Barrel aged program. Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2016 re-rate 8/16 - actually showed up locally on tap at the GREAT Holy Grail............no change in rating...........but I think this is best with some age on it. much bourbon in aroma and taste but the sweetness of this is what got to me on draft. 2nd snifter was better. still love this.......................re-rate 01/15. 2 year old bomber. no change on raing 4.5. had warm and cool - better cool. at times this is perfection......................bomber to glass; recd in trade from storminnormin? 2011 bottle. WOWOW! lots of stuff in aroma; I cant name all of them - alcohol, much chocolate roasts, CHOCOLATE. 5 for app (darrrrk) and palate (smooth and thick). Taste was near perfection - chocolate, choc. milk bourbon, slight vanilla, DAMMMMOT this is great - must find more!! tied for my highest rated beer ever!!!

On tap at Cannery Row Brewing Co. Oh wow, this this a beast, so smooth and no hint of the mega ABV, lots of dried fruit flavours, delicious and dangerous.

Muy compleja. No hay un predominio claro en el aroma de nada. Es una multitud de especias, madera, caramelos y torrefacto. Casi como un tabaco de pipa aromatizado. En la boca es muy dulce y largusima. Melosa. De lo mejor que he probado nunca

Bottle care of Andrew Watson at the British Bourbin Society, AGM. Opaque black beer with tan head which dissipates to nothing. Nose is malty, coffee, liqueur, caramel, butterscotch. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, ripe fruit, wood aged, butterscotch. Yummy.

On tap at Brewers Republic. Pitch black color, with a medium, bubbly, tan head and great lacing. The nose is bakers chocolate, smoky peat, light licorice, and butter toffee. Super sweet and sticky, with a light bitterness that balances quite well. Very heavy body, syrupy, sticky, and a little harsh, but in a was that bites and cuts through. This is an immense and boozy stout, with a sharp palate and pristine flavor.
