COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.
An extension of Quercus Alba —the Firestone Walker Barrel aged program. Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.

Good God this beer is fucking amazing! From the moment you pour this black stallion into your glass you’ll notice it’s alluring aroma of chocolate, vanilla, oak, licorice, and bourbon. Upon tasting this full bodied beast, you’ll notice that as you practically chew the beer, the tastes of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, and oak transport you to a magical land... Well maybe that’s the 13% abv... but it goes down SMOOTH and is just absolutely fucking delicious. I only wish that I could get more of these.

Sample, BOTTLE 22 OZ. Vintage 2016. Clear darkest brown, dark beige head. Rich dark fruit, slightly smoky, warming alcohol. Rich sticky dark fruit, just a little of that roasty stouty notes, spicy alcool, spicy hops in the finish. A very nice barley wineish impy.

Gęste, likierowe, tłuste ciało. Przeszkadza zbyt wysokie wysycenie. W aromacie bogactwo ciemnych słodów, akcentów bourbonu, czekolady, świeżo mielonej kawy. W smaku powtórka z rozrywki, cała masa ciemnych owoców, czekolady. Dużo paloności. Subtelna goryczka i wytrawny finisz. Rozgrzewające, dosyć alkoholowe.

Boxed 355ml bottle shared between five at the 20th June 2017 monthly beer exchange in Chez Sophie. Really, really enjoyed this, thought it was lovely. Lightly tanned head on an almost black body. The nose was boozy and malty, as was the taste. Chocolate flavours combine with the booziness and as you relax into the beer: wish we had more to share, so easy to sip.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie. Pours dark, thin beige head. Aroma has bourbon, earthy aroma. Taste is layered, complex, nutty malts, chocolate, bourbon influence, some vanilla, charred woody notes. Palate-coating. Excellent.

Good for style...not exceptional. Strong on aroma, but no other category.

Pours dark brown/black with little residual lacing. Taste is smooth chocolate with maple on the end.

On tap. Pours a deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, bit dark fruit and dark chocolate. Taste of dark fruit, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Subtle bitterness and a dry finish. Full body, thick and flavorful with the slightest hint of bourbon. An easy sipper that goes down easy. Very enjoyable.

Good strong coffee/oak aroma with light sweetness. Flat black color with a small tan head. Taste is boozy with some coffee and oak; follows the aroma. Palate is smooth but a bit thin for such a big beer. Overall very good but I was expecting it to compete with the very best imperial stouts I have ever had and it falls short of that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
