The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

’11 bottle -Pours golden w/light carbonation, decent amount of haze. Pineapple, bandaids, lemon peel and oaky must on the nose - big typical lacto/pedio sour tinge, touch of vinegar, too. Taste is very balanced, not mouth puckering, but really round. Tart hints of apple cider vinegar, lemon and ripe pineapple. Delicious...

Bottle shared at the brewery. Pours a hazy, straw color, with a small, bubbly, off-white head. Notes of apple, clover honey, Greek yogurt, berries, and sourdough. Lightly tart flavor, with just a touch of bitterness. Light body, with a smooth, lightly acidic, and effervescent mouthfeel. This is a nice, dry, mellow lambic. Simple, but very well made. Just a pleasure to drink.

Jest o czym myśleć. Jakie s drewno, skóra, trochę obory, kwaśne owoce. Drożdże wypracowały świetne przyprawowe aromaty. Dość wysoka kwaśność i chyba idealna słodycz - bardzo niska. Świetne.

Skirted perfection. Appearance is average but for the great artwork and packaging. Funky sour/yeast driven nose. Taste of fruit, perhaps apples, a touch of vinegar, leather. Mouthfeel has lots going on, soft carb, several layers, dry oaky finish. Brilliant balance, not super tart but sour enough. Artsy.

2014, small bottle at home. White grapes, delicious funk, leather, great sourness, tart, unusually low carbonation. The best Cantillon Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio I have had so far.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, Belgium. A golden coloured pour with a thin bubbly white head on top. Fruity, citrus, sour aroma. Tastes fruity, citrus, funky, sour. This has never really been my style of beer but it is still well made and a good palate cleanser.

Draft at Armsby Abbey. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Lots of funk and vinegar on the nose and tongue. Very, very tart. Finished dry. Tasty.
