COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Vintage 2005"
Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

2008 bottle very dark brown with a large tanned head. aroma is sweet, chocolate, raisin, dark brown sugar, some wine notes. taste is smooth and sweet with apple brandy. complex, spicy, with restrained (coffee) bitterness. cherries, chocolate and calvados oak are abundant. At a push, i’d take the standard pannepot for its smoother profile, but this is still fantastic (probably better than the reserva).

Fantastic beer. Again I dont know which one is the best, this one as i remember - when pour - brown head, redish colour, aroma is fantastic and deeper, aged, stout colour, magnificient taste, karamel, roasted, spicies, raisins but boozy too... u can feel the apples too but needed more balance... in conclusion its an art - i love struise

Brunatne z zółtawymi przebłyskami. Aromat złożony, typowo belgijski. Figi, melasa, ciemne owoce, drewno, ciemny słód, trochę karmelu i lekki alkohol. W smaku słodkawe, słodowe z owocowymi akcenatami. Dalej to samo co w aromacie. Sporo ciałą. Rozgrzewa w przełyku. Wysokie wysycenie. Dobre, złożone piwo w typowo belgijskim sytlu

2011 vintage sent by Monstermagnet - thanks a lot man!
An earthy and woody chocolate aroma, some fruity scents. Taste is full of fruit pits and chocolate again. Very complex and rich beer

Bottle at the Capital in Leuven. Smooth, full bodied, in fact, incredibly smooth! Light and complex malt base, very subtle and great on the palate.

Bottle @ home. 2010 vintage. Cellared 2,5 years (by me). Light gusher. Color is dark brown with a lasting beige head and no lacing. Aroma of oak, calvados, vabilla, hints of brett and earth, figs, leather, alcohol, vinous fruits. Taste is unexpectedly dry with a medium body and high carbonation . Flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, calvados, oak, leather, vinous figs. Finish has layers of smooth vanilla, figs, leather and pears lingering. Taste has great complexity but lacks body IMO. Not sure this one will improve more.
