COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout consistently beats out international stouts in blind tastings and competitions. This intensely black ale carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate. The oatmeal contributes body and ensures a long-lasting mocha-coloured head. If you like stout, you will love St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout.

Draught at the pub St-Patrick, St-Alexandre and Cafe du Temps Perdu. Also several times from the bottle. Deep black. Coffee, chocolate, roastiness, oatmeal, cereals/grainy, caramel and a good hop presence (especially in the finish). Extremely creamy, heavy, visquous, almost oily. Amazing with dark bitter chocolate. A complex, yet very drinkable stout! Cheap and easily available year-round in the majority of beer stores and supermarket.

11.5oz bottle at home. Pours black with little or no head. Roasted malt and dried fruit aroma. Flavors are well-integrated chocolate, sweet dark malt, raisins, prunes, molasses, dark bread. Soft carbonation. Medium body, thick, creamy texture. Very well balanced, excellent stout.

Dark, creamy stout. Chocolate, coffee, toffees. Very nice beer which matches perfect with dark, sweet desserts.

Another renown beer, eager to try it with friends after volleyball. My first St-Ambroise, a good one.

341ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty, chocolately aroma, notes of coffe and dark chocolate, fruity hoppy hints of blueberry and blackberry. Taste is roasty dark malty, hints of coffee, milk chococlate and dark chocolate, fruity hoppy overtones with a touch of blueberry and blackberry, overtones of rusty iron; smooth, soft, silky palate. Superbly balanced, harmonious, integrated. Wonderful!

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black opaque body, medium chocolate head with good retention and some lacing. Velvety aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, blackberry jam, dried berries and vanilla beans. Taste of well-done roast, herbs, burned caramel, dried berries and wood charcoal. Light, dry and soft. Outstanding brew.

Quite good and spot on to style. Slightly creamy character with plenty of coffee and dark chocolate notes.

C. Pours a black color with khaki head. I think it’s the coffee flavors I’m not digging

CObiased (516) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - MAR 8, 2017
11.5oz bottle - it pours a very dark coal water black with a thin off white head. The aroma is mostly roasty notes with subtle whiffs of chocolate, caramel, mocha and pumpernickel. Solid flavors of rich roasted grain, coffee, hearty bread and a hint of chocolate.
