bytemesis (9502) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 2, 2012
Bottle, 13 April 2011. Pours clear deep reddish brown with a large creamy brown head that diminishes slowly and leaves great, thick lacing in its wake. Aroma is strong dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, kahlua, molasses. Flavor is quite sweet, all of the above plus a bit of sprucy hops leading to a light bitter, warming alcoholic finish. Full bodied and thick. Very very good.

Barea (123) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JAN 14, 2018
Bottle from 100 piv. Aroma: full of chocolate, caramel, roasty aroma. Medium beige head, dark brown color, full body, oily texture. Taste: chocolate, roasty notes, caramel, nice lasting bitterness. More creamy desert than a beer, lovely one.

stevoj (5876) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 7, 2018
Bottle #75 (2008) from Jeremy. INky black pour with a small beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate and roast grains. Taste is dark, semi-sweet chocolate, brown sugar. Sweet and smooth. Really nice.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2018 On tap at Oedipus Brewing, Amsterdam on 05-Jan-2018. Dark brown / black in colour with a medium sized beige coloured head. Aroma of cocao, roasted coffee and hops. Full body and soft/medium carbonation. Taste is dominated by dark chocolate, coffee and resinous hops. Some liquorice notes, wood and alcohol burn. Light to medium bitterness with a sweet stick alcoholic finish.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 2014-03-14) im 2017-12 getrunken. Das ist ein schnörkelloses Spitzen Imperial Stout. Diese etwas ältere Version hatte fette dunkle Schokoladen-Trüffelnote. Fein fein!

Geproefd op een tasting met Roelzie1986, Inoven en Benzai. Het is een donker zwartbruin bier. De smaak is gebrand, koffie.

4.3
Pittoro (163) - Krakow, POLAND - DEC 7, 2017
Aroma: sweetness, dark roast and alcohol. Portery taste: roasted bread dough, milk chocolate. Honey and alcohol in the aftertaste. Reminds me somehow mead. Warming up alcohol. Bitterness on the spot. Not enough of ashy bitterness though to call it a 100% stout. Could be as well a Baltic Porter. Medium body. Lingering bitterness, roast and alcohol. Great beer.
