33 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours spitch black with a small dark brown head that leaves quickly. Aroma of dark chocolate, dark coffee and som roasty stuff. Taste of dark coffee and a warm dark chocolate mouthfeel with an oily texture. Low bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. A complex and a great IS.

What a classic! Very full bodied, low carbonation, roasted malts, some alcohol, butterscotch, coffee... plums maybe, even. Love it.

Wysoka i długo utrzymująca się piana, co mnie zdziwiło, czy z piwem jest coś nie tak? W smaku likier i masa czekolady, wytrawne i słodkie jednocześnie. Bardzo gładkie i zrwnoważone, bardzo dobre piwo

Clearing, quite dark. No head. Deep coffee, molasses, anise. Some dark stone fruit. Quite bitter, very sweet. Heavy body, very oily. Long finish. Good.

Bottle, 0.33l. Thick black pour with one finger creamy beige head. Average retention. Beautiful lacing on the glass. Rich on the nose, robust and roasty, loaded with coffee and dark chocolate notes. Full body with just the right amount of carbonation. Soft, but lively. Thick texture and creamy mouthfeel. Roasty bittersweet taste with a touch of alcohol. Robust and intense, rich in aroma. Malts, roasted and caramel, chocolate and cocoa. Coffee. Plums and raisins, slightly woody. Touch of liquor, well balanced. Sticky mouthfeel. Alcohol well hidden in the taste, but nicely warming and hits in the head. Beautifully balanced. Absolutely delicious imperial stout. Poetry in a bottle.

Aroma of raw roasted malt and some ash, interesting. Taste is dry, strong roasted aftertaste, even a bit burning, some sunflower seed notes.

33cl bottle. One of my favourites. Pours black and heavy. Great aroma, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Thick and creamy. Semi sweet. Long finish with a bitter accent. Lovely.

Diepzwarte kleur. De geur is zoet, chocolade en alcohol. De smaak is in eerste instantie zoet en wordt gevolgd door bittere chocolade. Lekker maar iets te bitter op het einde voor mij.

Very noble and sophisticated in taste. Aroma of sweet chocolate, coffee, caramel. Semi sweet, full of chocolate and coffee. Texture is right were it should be. Finished with bitterness. Really, really good.

Tasted on various occasions, last time comparing a 2016 and a 2012 version. Pours black with a bubbly tan head. This packs a ton of chocolate, both milk and dark chocolate but more of the first. Coffee, licourice, roasted malts, caramel, molasses. Nice roasty sharp bitterness, especially in the young bottles. The older it gets it turns into chocolaty malt syrup. Both are stunning. Over medium bitter, under medium sweet. Over medium body, low carbonation.

Medium beige head quickly dissapearing. Aroma of sweet chocolate, coffee, caramel, licorice, nuts. Flavour is semi sweet, full of chocolate, coffee, licorice, caramel. Body is medium, carbonation is perfect. Alcohol well hidden. Bitter is coffee, rather low but perfectly fill overall feelings. Very very tasty Imperial Stout.
