poured a cloudy apricot color, smell of sour peach and brett. this beer is soooo good.. easy to drink, smooth with a strong taste of fresh peaches. this batch is from 2010 and it tasted as if the peached were picked this morning. very tar, sour, sour peach, brett, overall another great experience from upland. Their sours have never dissapointed.!

The nose shows tart notes of juicy, ripe peach.

Draft at Bru Craft. Billed as an oak-aged blonde sour at 5.5% ABV. Cloudy pale yellow orange pour with a foamy white ring. Pungent sour with notes of orange, plum and peach. Big oak. Lemons. Grapes. Lightly-to-minimally hazy, golden-amber with a small, beige and peach-flecked head that fades to cover quickly.
Peach in the nose is clear, authentic and fairly well-integrated with the beer character, which itself adds plentiful lactic and Brett acids to provide light band aid and leather that combines well with the stone fruit minerality and strong funk. Lots of skin, acid and pit character which really works nicely with the funky character of the "lambic". I find the jammier renditions of fruit sours still enjoyable but far inferior to the renditions where the fruit is more highly macerated/integrated with the rest of the beer. Anyhow, light oak, but low toastiness with light caramel-tinged honey from the malt and some acetic character, but nowhere near what I remember Upland having when they first started.
Flavor-wise, the beer is quite acidic with lots of oak tannin, vanilla, honey, caramel, etc...quite amply malty, with plentiful lactic and light acetic acids. The peach flavor is fantastic, with spicy pit, leathery skin and tons of juicy acidity. Sour, but not intensely so; certainly has let-up over the years. Moderate amounts of engaging carbonation and a soft, lightly oily texture with no alcohol or flaw.

Sample at Aficionado’s during the "Big Bad Bottle Share" on 02/10/2017. Hazy orange color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of funky peach, yeast and malt. Light to medium body with a sweet-tart peach character and notes of funky yeast and doughy malt. The finish is fruity with a peach and lemon aftertaste. Bottle shared with and courtesy of a limping but not too distressed marmot in Deanso’s garage. Very hazy orange with a ring white head. Aroma is lactic, damp, tart peach and mineral notes. Flavour is heavy sour (though not the worst burn straight through your body and give you a second asshole like Upland "lambics" can be). Une note aussi basse c’est rare. Une bière aussi déplaisante pour moi, ce l’est tout autant. Robe jaune paille sans bulle et juteuse. Du jus en poudre auquel on ajoute de l’eau pour servir en pichet aux enfants qui se baignent à la piscine. Arômes artificiels de pêche, de bile, de levures pédio déjantées et oui, je jus artificiel. Pas très attirant quand tu as le goût de boire une bière. Acidité suprême, saveurs sans aucune finesse, goût de gorgée sûre du lendemain de veille. Draft at the source. Hazy glowing gold, no head. Aroma of poopy overripe fruit, herbs, and mildew (like the stink of my clothes when they’ve been left damp in the basement). That aspect is really, really offputting to me, because I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left the house and gotten an hour into my work day before I realize that my shirt stinks and I have no way out except to cope with the stench and avoid other humans. Herbal, sweet-tart, tannic (like a light fruity tea). Lasting sweetened cereal finish. Light body, lively carbonation. Overall: I can’t get into this, but only because of the stink.
