First blended by Glenn & Urbain at the Bles Festival in Zottegem Belgium, last October 2008, for the beer geek public, and around closing time. Many positive feedbacks around the blend, kept following both breweries. As a tribute, and honour to the late Pre-Zbf 2009 festival, we decided together with Alvinne, to officialize this blend to a one time labelled bottling this year. Only a thousand 33cl bottles were filled, to be distributed and sold on this fest, and in our respective shops.

Bottle PZF & PZT. Wow! Pours Pink Pink and More Pink. Aroma :Full ripe cherries, creme fraise, tart with some funk. Flavour: full bold and deep in cherry characters slight lactic acid but very moreish as it is not overlly sweet. Prefer this to normal Kerasus as the flavour is much bolder and fuller in body.

Bottle - Vintage 2009 - Soured cherry and oaky notes. Clear Amber with a nice white head. Soured cherry and some nice dry barrel notes.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. This is a cloudy almost glowing dark amber looking with a small sidesticking beige islandy top. The aroma is tart and woody, light sour like in red sour berries. Nice. It’s soft on the carbonation and light oily in the mouth. It’s soft and gentle in the tart flavors, at least compared to other things I’ve just tasted from the brewer. Some red wine vinegar, pepper and red grapes. Lasting and lingering flavors. Quite good this! 11.05.2012

11/7/2009 11:48:29 AM Bottle from De Molen. Ruby red body with slight white head. Nose of cherries and tart. Taste is very tart cherry and then gets a bit sour. Watery. Not much too it, and again not really my style of beer... But kudos for the collaboration and the Magritte nod.

Bottle. Clear deep red liquid with medium light pink head. Aroma of cherries, almonds, light wood, biscuit and lacto. Taste is light sweet and light to medium sour with notes of cherries, lacto and lemon. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

’Versnijbier’ which originated as an improvised experiment at the Nationale Bierhappening of Zottegem in 2008 but limitedly continued after that. Struiselensis mixed with Kerasus apparently results in a beer reminiscent of oude kriek, with a pale pinkish, thick head and deep purplish red colour, misty. Complex and assertive aroma of sour cherries on a nutty and caramelly malt base, funky, sherry- and hay-like impressions; soft sourish taste, complex, woody, extremely fruity from real fruit and estery yeast, interesting spiciness in the finish further adding complexity. A must if you’re into sour beers.

Deep red colour, soft carbonation. Aroma is tart and fruity. Taste is sour with dry finish. A bit thin maybe

Sampling @ omhper, thanks. Brown color. Complex brettnomyses aroma together with fruity cherry arom and taste where you also notice the cherry seed. Then a perfect sweet ending.

Pours deep clear red, very small white foam . Smells like a swiming pool ( nevermind , i always get this with old cherry beers) Thin mouthfeel , harsh sourness ( i would believe this is american ) Some cherry ( most of it in the aftertaste ) dry . Nice but not thrilled

Bottle… Murky burgundy ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The woody, funky bouquet offers fruity-sweet cherries and soft acidity. Light to medium-bodied and fairly thin with busy carbonation. The flavor provides moderately sharp acidity and a crisp, fruity, cherry finish. Dries out a good bit. It’s no oude kriek, but it’s a nice sour cherry ale. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Golden, slight haze Apple vinegar and massive tartness. Super tart, sour and vinegary. Light and fizzy
