Brewed in the tradition of Scotland’s malty-sweet beers. Sweet and smooth with a wee hint of smoked character. Pair with grilled chicken, beef, BBQ or wild game.

On tap at Lazlos in Lincoln, Nebraska. Poured an amber color with medium head that was gone quickly. Nopse of light malts and a hint of smoke. Flavor shows some hops. Good finish.

On tap at Buzzard Billy’s Lincoln, Ne. Pours a one finger white head that fades quickly no lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Sweet smokey nose. Starts sweet, clean finish, malt comes through late, hops in background. $3.75 for a 16oz glass.

goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - JUN 25, 2006
Poured a clear amber color with a minimal head. Fruity estery aroma. Sweet and sugary, malty with light apples. Light alcohol fumes. Bland malt that becomes bitter rather quickly. Dull mouthfeel.

CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 24, 2006
Pours clear copper bronze with a thin, wispy white head. Vegetal earthy, grainy aroma has some bean sprout character. Body has a dull, dry palate with some cardboardy off-flavors and grass. Something’s just not quite right with this.

ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - JUN 17, 2006
Pours a clear light amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is light floral hops and vegital malt, some diacetyl. The flavor is very light, some pear juice, herbal. Thin, watery body with a slightly astingent finish. This stuff is pretty bad.

On tap it isn’t bad. Not my favorite, even of this type, but not offensive. This is a little on the sweet side for the type, a little shy rather than bold, flavor is not very robust.Light golden orange.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2006
12 oz bottle, via BA swid. Pours a dark gold with a thin and quick disappearing head, off-white in color. The lightest in color Scottish Ale I’ve ever seen. Aroma is of diacetyl butteriness, and that’s about all I get, with an accent of garbage juice to boot. Flavor has a little toasted malt beyond the butter flavor. This stuff is not good. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with moderate fine carbonation. Wow, this one surprised me. Their other beers that I’ve had were OK, but this is just awful. I got down about two ounces, and the rest met the drain.

Bottle from eboats Thanks!

Pours a decent light amber with an aroma of cantaloupe malt. Slight peach as well. Little head, no cling in the lace. Flavor is a hybrid honey mixture, with bits of cotton candy. Not bad.

12oz bottle via trade with eboats - Thanks Caleb! - Pours amber with a short white head that fades quick.. Aromas of caramel, and a touch of nuts. Flavor is caramel, a touch of dough, and not much else. Palate is more towards the thin side. Drinkable and would make a fair session..

I beat scoot also! Thanks eboats. Light orange color. Foamy off white head. Nose had a touch of medicine. taste was slight roasted malts, and something, sour or off. Fun brew.
