12oz Bottle A - Pours dark brown almost black. Small tan head. Good lacing. S - Cocoa and faint vanilla. T - Bitter chocolate, faint vanilla, bittering hops. M - Light/medium bodied. Mild carbonation. Slick texture. Bitter finish. O - Ok Porter, but a bit bitter. Would have liked more vanilla flavor. jmikolich (1477) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - APR 22, 2013
Tap at Old Chicago, artificial in a word, just stale coffee and fake vanilla, cool to get it from Nebraska so that brings up the overall but this is easily skpped, not enough mouth to take on Breckenridge vanilla porter. almost chalky vyvvy (6524) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Thanks to either Greg or Carter for sharing this one. Pours dark brown with a mahogany hue and an off white head. The aroma has non-bitter roasty malt, vanilla, walnuts, cocoa and a hint of medicinal traits. It has a medium / light body that’s a bit watery and has mild carbonation. The flavor starts off with roasty malt and vanilla from the aroma, but its a bit more subdued and has a mild chocolate presence. The finish is a bit tinny. Pretty good porter. Chocolatey aroma, light malt taste and very smooth finish. Nice, easy drinking porter with a hint of vanilla. This is a nice dessert beer. ekoerper (599) - Iowa, USA - MAR 26, 2013
On tap. Aroma: subtle chocolate malt, roast, and coffee. A hint of vanilla comes through, and some caramel.
Appearance: pours black, translucent, tan head has average retention and leaves some lacing.
Taste: lots of vanilla, somewhat one-dimensional, light/smooth roast and hints of chocolate.
Palate: fairly light body for the style, medium carbonation, fairly smooth.

On tap at Lazlo’s in Lincoln. From Notes 9/29/2012. Pours a deep brown white white head. Artificial vanilla, dark malts, roasty flavors. Sometimes I really dig this beer, but most of the time I feel like the vanilla has a really artificial, fake flavor to it. kathouse (1914) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Deep brown from the bottle with an off-white head. Chocolate, vanilla, and caramel aromas make it very sweet like crème brule. Medium body but low mouthfeel. Toasted malts, chocolate, and brown sugar flavors with no hop presence. Finish is the same as the start. thomas15 (689) - Alabama, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Rarely does a beer smell so little. Doesn’t smell bad just doesn’t smell. Slight vanilla and slight roast. Black with off white head. Good lacing. Looks good. Tastes like vailla with slight chocolate and roast. Medium to full body for style. Good session porter. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Pours a deep brown with amber notes and a medium creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of light coffee, chocolate and vanilla notes. Flavor of milk chocolate and vanilla. sunfloweracres (1) - Nebraska, USA - JAN 16, 2013 does not count
I did not really like the taste, but it is unique. I cannot smell or taste Vanilla or Chocolate, but it makes a great handmade shampoo bar. My best yet! This batch makes hair soft and gorgeous. If anyone is going to make beer soap or shampoo bars, you must let it go completely flat or you may have a lye volcano. You can contact me if you want any more information on shampoo bars. I will buy it again, my customers love the shampoo bars:)
