12oz bottle poured into an English pint at 48. Color is a deep gold with a slight haze. Carbonation is a little low but it makes a nice thin tight head. Aroma is sweet, malt and caramel then just a hint of citrus (orange) in the back. It has a medium body that gives a smooth mouth feel. Flavor of grain, toffee and just a bit of citrus. After taste is bitter with a little more citrus showing. Overall aroma is better then the flavor, but still its a good ESB.

Bottle. A- Grass, hay, biscuits, musty, subtle caramel. A- Dark orange color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Subtle caramel, bready, malty, herbs, grassy, slightly bitter, woody. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, musty finish. O- This sucked. I didnt expect it to be anything but average but it didnt even manage to accomplish that. Lots of bready, grassy, musty aroma and tastes. Just a bad beer. Ill take a Dos Equis over this crap. If this is your pride and joy find a new profession. Extra Special...no. Extra bad....yes.

A little light for my taste but a nice American example of a true British style that I enjoy from time to time. On tap at Krug Park in Omaha, NE.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2015 Luna Sea is best enjoyed when its fresh and the Noble hops are at their best. The malt has lots of caramel sweetness and the light hopping gives it a mildly fruity flourish. This ESB offers a lot of candy-like malt sugar and drink-ability.

Bottle poured a murky orange hue w/ a medium frothy white head and minor lacing. Moderate grain and bitter aroma. Initial flavor is a light sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish of long duration. Tastes are straw, biscuit, pine, resin, grapefruit, light roast, and light caramel. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation and a light alcohol dryness in the finish.
