Pours a lightly hazed orange with a thin bright white head. Aroma is bread, fruity yeast, toast, light cereal notes and spicy and citrus hops. Flavor is toast, burnt orange, light floral hops, honey, crusty bread, cereal grain, sweet malt and lemon oil. Palate is medium bodied, with a moderate, but sharp carbonation and slightly oily feel. Pretty nice overall, surprisingly hoppy for the style, would be better with a lighter feel. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - AUG 27, 2012

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is bready, saltine cracker, and a little sweetness. Flavor is clean, bready malt, lightly grainy, with a hint of bitter hop. unclemike (3122) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - JUL 9, 2012
poured a rich amber color with a huge, frothy white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, spice, vanilla and a hint of fruitiness. Pretty straightforward and not overly tasty of a beer. Some caramel, yeast, earthy/herbal elements with a slightly tart flavor. Just ok

The beer pours a hazy sunny yellow with a big fluffy white head. jmohno (1618) - Iowa, USA - JUN 20, 2012
The aroma is malty, bready, and a little bit salty. Some light toastiness serves the bouquet well.
The flavor is floral, almost soapy, but besides that it’s pretty true to the general character of the style’s benchmark (Anchor Steam) with light notes of toasty caramel malt, lots of breadiness, some yeasty character and herbal bitterness.
It’s a nice example of a beer style we just don’t see a lot of in the midwest.
Pale dark yellow some froth on a light head..
Some grainy bready fruit bordering vegetableness a little funky yeast not unpleasant.
Taste is similar it has a nice body and bready maltiness and a good bittering finish, pretty solid drinking beer this has to be the most liked beer after 4 or 5 others from them i didnt really care for. boydmarq (62) - Bloomington, Illinois, USA - MAY 26, 2012
On tap at Lazlo’s in West Omaha. Nice white head that dissipated slowly with nice lacing. Not much aroma. Taste was tart with grapefruit notes. Hoppy finish. Like many Empyrean brews, very drinkable but nothing to write home about. BVery (10501) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAY 4, 2012
Tap. Light yellow pour with a white head. Nose and taste of wheat, a little grass, and a touch of hop bitterness. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 24, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Bottle picked up at Beertopia Omaha, opened in Exira, Iowa. Hazy pinkish orange appearance with a pillowy white head. Dry, dull fruity, a bit yeasty, a bit spicy aroma. A bit tart, lightly fruity, crisp, light grape, earthy bitter hoppy flavor. Drinkable but a little strange. Update: tasted on tap at Empyrean on 9/29 and seemed to have a mild diacetyl note.
