COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A different spin on a traditional Belgian Abby Ale. Deep gold in color with the aroma of fresh biscuits and ripe fruit, tart in the middle with a crisp, herbal finish. Brewed stong enough to stand up to winter’s chill.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2016 Bottle poured into a shaker glass. Amber color and a foamy white head. Aroma is malt, peppery, coriander, and some mulling spices. Initial taste is caramel malt, mulling spices, cinnamon, and pepper. Aftertaste is almost like watered down apple cider and fades to just malt and yeast. Medium body and pretty lively carbonation. Not bad. Certainly not inspiring. Empyrean beers can generally be described like that.

Bottle. Hazed tangerine with a fluffy sand-colored head. Aroma and flavor both blend peppery hops with biscuits, honey and just a hint of diacetyl. Very average.

Bottle. A- Grains, corn, grassy. A- Pale orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Spices, grains, unbalanced. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, unbalanced finish. O- I hope there was something wrong with the bottle I had otherwise this was just plain awful. Lots of spice and unbalanced on the palate and just nothing good to say about it. Like a pale lager with a random mix of spices and herbs thrown in.

Pour on tap at Happy Gnome, dark reddish pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of slight orange peel, cinnamon, clove, hints of caramel, toffee in there as well, kind of flabby with some acidic notes as well. Taste was a mix of slight acid, caramel, toffee, some fruity, sweet notes with some cinnamon, clove, finishing fairly sweet.

Cloudy orange body, with a medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, spice and nutmeg. Taste is doughy, with hints of orange peel with a bitter aftertaste. Nothing I’d seek out again.
