Lekker blond biertje. Zacht karakter.

33cl bottle at home (11 VII 2016). Beautiful looking blonde Belgian ale with dark golden colour, orange gloomed, and on top a huge snow white frothy collar. The nose has some earthlike tones, yeasts, wheat or even some corn. A subtle metallic scent is in there as well, yet it is not that unpleasant. The nose has some herbs too. The taste is plain but fresh. Think of a strong ale - not heavily yeasted, not to malty too - with a soft bitterness and some added mint features. The carbonation is soft too, making this a smooth drinker. Quite a lovely quencher, especially with its 6.5% ABV. This is not a strong boost, even not that complex. Yet it doesnt have real flaws either. A surprisingly appealing brew from Brouwerij Roman.

Bottle 0.33l . Pours clear pale straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast, flowers and citrus. Sourish flavour of citrus, with acetic notes. Bitter, rough finish, with touches of metal. High carbonation.

citrus, resin, golden, hazy, white foam, lightly sour, light sweetness, astringent. Lemon furniture polish nose, but not disgustingly so. Pleasantly golden and hazy. Mostly sour on the tongue, very little nuance or depth. A bit watered down despite the 6.5%. Easy to drink, but tastes a bit as though its been spiked with aspartame or an artificial sweetener.
