This blonde abbey beer, which has been re-fermented in the bottle, is both a thirst-quencher and a special beer. Lovely fruit on the nose, citrus, malt, fruit and hops will excite your taste buds, giving way to a long, dry finish.

Bottle 0.33l . Pours clear pale straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast, flowers and citrus. Sourish flavour of citrus, with acetic notes. Bitter, rough finish, with touches of metal. High carbonation.

citrus, resin, golden, hazy, white foam, lightly sour, light sweetness, astringent. Lemon furniture polish nose, but not disgustingly so. Pleasantly golden and hazy. Mostly sour on the tongue, very little nuance or depth. A bit watered down despite the 6.5%. Easy to drink, but tastes a bit as though it’s been spiked with aspartame or an artificial sweetener.

9/24/2009 2:20:52 PM Golden body with healthy head. Malty nose. Nice taste of malts with fruits as well. Spicy too. Watery and quite carbonated.

KansaiBeerLvrs (5099) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 24, 2015
At Delirium Monasterium. Ename blonde 6.5% brilliantly clear deep gold. Bready spicy aroma, simple but nice.

maekchu (3849) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUL 27, 2015
Bottle from Kumiyama AEON Mall liquor shop. Citrusy nose, fresh and zesty, pleasant hopping, yeast. Clear straw color, fat fluffy whte head, great lace. Light citrus initial, wheat, spice, a bit of alc. presence, fairly dry finish. Medium body. Not over the top in either aroma or flavors, but it’s very well-made stuff.
