COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong, blonde abbey beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle, tastes of citrus, pineapple, peach, nectarine and herbs. Malt and hops, which are both nicely balanced, for your taste buds. The attack has a hint of sweetness to it, and the finish packs a punch bordering on spicy.

A soft malty blonde with a fruity and herbal palate and a bitter afterflavour.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2018 Golden, looks like a traditional pilsner. Aroma not so strong, has yeast and apples. Taste quite dry, fermented apples with a metallic touch towards the end. Ok tripel, but not one of the best.

Pours a clear golden body with a medium head. Fruity aroma with a yeasty touch. Taste is sweet syrup with yeasty esters.

Thanks Geisser for this bottle that I have drunk in your flat at Lausanne after a huge raclette!!!!! I think that this beer is a bit underrated but it is just a personnal view. It is a classical tripel, easy to drink with a orange/brown body and slightly troubled, white foam. The taste is fruity with plum and few figs, malty, feel the alcool but it is find, some hop, sweet at the final sip and well balanced.

Bottle. Straw yellow with very nice lasting head. Malt, spices, bread and some fruit from the yeast. Dry ending. Underrated (3,2 something)......

Pours clear golden with a lasting, foamy, white head. The aroma contains yeast, hops, spices, banana and peach. It tastes light sweet and medium hoppy bitter, slightly metallic; the finish is dry, yeasty and a bit spicy/peppery. Medium body, slick/oily texture, soft carbonation. Effectively more bitter and spicier than its blond and brown brothers, but, being a Tripel, not necessarily 'nobler' or better.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2017 Uiterst drinkbare tripel. Mij bevalt vooral de volle smaak, neigend naar zoete toetsen van perzik en banaan. En de afdronk zoals het hoort: lekker pittig. 👌🏻

Almost clear straw color with white head. Aroma is yeast forward with some hay and meadow flower esters plus the traditional belgian sugar sweetness. Taste is sweet at first with clean malt and sugar notes, continues with yeast flavor, slightly spicy and floral, finishes with some earthy hop bitterness. Light body, quite dry, medium plus carbonation. Overall it’s a legit tripel.

Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge. The Ename Tripel is a good triple d’abbaye, with not much to say about. We’re in front of the usual abbey tripel, maybe with a little more malty taste, but that’s all.

3.2
Davros (3338) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 21, 2017
Pours gold with a large head. Nose shows spicy hops, pear and soft cooked vegetables, slight banana. Flavours include sweet pear and baked apple, spicy clove notes, soft booze.
