330ml bottle. Pours amber-brown with a small off-white head. Rich toasted malt aromas with hints of burnt sugar and bitter oranges. Flavour is nicely balanced between the complex sweetish dark malt base and the bitter dry resinous hop finish. Medium bodied with a lowish carbonation and creamy texture. Quaffable. Very nice.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber with slight head. Pleasant subtle aroma - chocolate, vanilla, hint of orange. Medium body, bright carbonation. Interesting flavour with lots going. Rich chocolate and tangy fruit with pleasant spicy hop notes all of which fall off abruptly to a long finish of slight hoppy bitterness and dark chocolate and coffee hints. Bottle - Pours dark amber with a thin white head. Choc and caramel in the aroma with a hint of spice. Flavours take a while to develop but are light and sprizty up front but then develop into a dry choc malt flavour with a burnt caramel lingering finish. cgarvieuk (24800) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 28, 2011

A good amber ale, one of the better Aussie versions of the style. Has a good malt flavour, but finishes nice and dry. the hops are present but not overpowering. A good beer!
