Bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Dark amber, solid malt aroma with good malt flavours and subtle bitterness. Not bad for a volume product, but not a stand out.
Had the 2013 version rathe then the 2014. Very nuce amber glow and malty sub text. Nutty and sweet with little carbonation. Pyobon (1392) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 8, 2014
(Bottle) Clear dark amber / light cola with no head. Aroma is faintly caramel with even fainter fruit or floral notes. Light body with good carbonation. Taste isn’t particularly nice - starts fairly ok with a thin dark toffee and raisins, but towards the end the taste becomes thinner and develops vegetable and faintly burnt notes. Not to my taste. Murky brown pour with low carbonation. Aroma of toffee with some citrus & floral notes from the hops. Taste is light caramel, raisins, grapefruit. Not bad but a bit thin and middle of the road. A bit like a watered down barley wine.

Bottle - pours deep copper with very little head. Caramel malt and sweet raisin aroma. Burnt sugar and caramel on the taste with a dry finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Jado (798) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - AUG 19, 2013
Pours a clear dark amber-brown with some copper-red highlights and a small off-white head. Aromas are pretty light but pick up some caramel, apple and a floral note. Taste is dominated by dark fruits, particularly raisins, some fresh plum and rich malt. Medium bodied but finishes quite short, with a sweetly fruity aftertaste. Not bad at all but could do with a bit more cowbell.

Poured a hazy coppery brown colour with only a few bubbles for a head. Laced poorly. Low carbonation. Aroma dominated by sweetish malt but also with a trace of yeast. Taste initially sweet caramel with a trace of roasted malt followed by a nice mild hops bitterness. Light body. Detracting from the overall quality was quite an acidic/bitter finish. 4pack from 1st choice liquor, lovely amber colour, good lacing, i’ts quite smooth, but I think it’s more a entry level ale ALLOVATE (3004) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 7, 2013
Pours a ruddy amber with good clarity and medium, tight carbonation. The head a sheen of off-white foam, compact and well held. The nose has bitter sweet toffee praline, yeast and bread dough, stewed banana and salted peanut - weird. The head offers up a creaminess to the palate. On the sweeter side it is quite biscuity, nutty with a roasted malt backend that clashes some low, dusty hops and over-brewed tea. Sweet, mildly astringent finish. The body on the lighter side a plus. A little too sweet for me without too much definition. The 2012 Pale Ale was a winner so this one unfortunately just sits in the shadows. 330ml bottle from First Choice Liquor. Deep dark copper colour that borders on being red. Thick full cap of light brown foam makes a fairly good head. Strong a lot aroma with a thick malt flavour that backs it up. Probably the best of the Endeavour beers that I have had.
