20.07.2013. 0,5l Bottle. Scandinavian Park, Handewitt, Germany. Amber brown colour with off-white head. Aroma of sweet dark malts. moderate hoppiness gives a rather sweet beer. Low on bitterness. Soft dark malts.

bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 1, 2013
Bottle. Deep golden color. Plums in the bready aroma. Medium to full bodied. Apple and plum in the malty flavor. Some floral notes. Tastes a bit cheap somehow.

Sigmund (7466) - Tau, NORWAY - FEB 4, 2013
500 ml screwcap bottle, from the Poetzsch border shop near Kruså / Flensburg. ABV is 5.9%. Amber colour, pours fizzy with a moderate and coarse white head. Quite interesting aroma, notes of malts and ripe red berries, hints of mild spices. The flavour has a mildly spicy, herbal and malty character, with a hint of caramel. Not bad.

Bamsen78 (5400) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt with a fruity note. Sweetish, malty taste enriched by the bitterness of hops. A little watery but definitely ok.

MichaelAwesome (6519) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - JAN 16, 2013
Bottle shared with McTapps. The first drinkable from Engel so far. Still mediocre at its highest point but drinkable.

McTapps (6889) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - JAN 16, 2013
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Expected another brewery failure but git a quite decent strong beer. Deep golden colour, low head, smooth body. Nose of mild hops. Taste of light malt, honey, bread, caramel and strong alchol.

Jonb5 (550) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2013
Bronze to pale auburn colour, small thin tanned head faded fast, clear. Aroma was initially weak, I detected some caramel and brown sugar as it warmed. Tasted caramel, brown sugar and molasses, finish was slightly peppery. Medium body, smooth, slight bite from the carbonation. Overall not the worst, a fairly dark Maerzen which came from a screw top bottle which is probably the most memorable thing about it.
