Brown yellowish color. Head is a quite stable, medium size.Smell is not so bright:malts and a little bit caramel. Taste is a watery, malty, pleasant mostly. Aftertaste repeates the taste but with more bitter in the end. Okay, but not my style.

hauxe (861) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - NOV 20, 2016
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2017 Pours brown from the bottle and leaves a thin but attractive frothy head with moderate lacing. Aroma is malty sweet with lots of caramel, hints of vegetables, and knd of musty. Taste has a grainy bitterness and stale old leather notes that contrasts starkly with the underlying caramel & chocolate sweetness. Body is medium over a fairly fizzy palate. Finish is short and disjointed. Kind of disapponting. Rerate on 03/2017. Overall noticed more chocolate and caramel, and the flavors melded better. Upped from 2.4 to 2.6

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, strong caramel, toffee, spicy notes, touch of nuts and dried fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Not bad, though I had hoped for a little more Keller and a little less Dunkel.
