Appearance: Pours muddy, shiny orangy golden, very similar to Bavarian Weizen, very lively carbonation, a lot of yeasts clouds floating in the body texture, head is snowy white, frothy, initially medium, slowly decreasing to small, leaving nicea lacing and yeast sediment at the glass bottom.
Aroma: Sour, accidic, sharp hoppy, grapefruit, lemon, nice yeast accents at front, healtyh and refreshing hoppy bitterness with a chalky, cardboardy, positive and inviting, barley background, additionally spicy in hoppy profile. All the typical stuff characteristic of Engel Engele Premium Pils but here yet enriched by additional yeasty accents.
Flavour: Very sharp hoppyness, tangy, highly astringent, strongly bitter, grapefruit. lemon, grapefruit seeds and other citruses, spices, flour, chalk, cardboard, due to the unfiltered yeast alcohol is well balanced and not felt as much as in the filtered version. Finsh duration is long and pleasant with lingering noble hoppy nose.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is dry, carbonation on palate is moderate, finish feel is highly astringent, sharply bitter, rich in noble type Classic German Pilsener hops in nose, very pleasant and impressive.
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Pours straw in color, slightly hazy with a nice head that stays a while and leaves some lacing on the glass.
Grainy, bready smell that resembles a helles more then a pilsener.
Taste is also bready and very well balanced. Nice bitterness in the aftertaste.
Light bodied with just enough carbonation for my taste. Very drinkable.
Overall, a good unfiltered lager. I really start enjoying this style more and more. Benzai (15433) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 29, 2015
50cl bottle @ home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white head. Smell and taste some malts, some bitter, quite crisp. I must adnmit I just went for a 6 km run so I guess virtually any beer would have tasted nice, but still this is a nice thirstquencher. mR_fr0g (11894) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2016

Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts dry-malty, more and more hoppy-grasy, light bitter background. Some fruity notes of lemon. Finish less fruity, more dry-malty. Not bad! Chopper925 (547) - Gross Gerau, GERMANY - JUL 3, 2016
Bottle. Golden yellow color, fine white head. Fresh, fruity, floral hop aroma. Medium sweet taste, high bitterness. Grainy, bready aftertaste, slight floral touch. Nice, full body, medium to fresh carbonation.
Good Pils, it is not too sweet and raises itself from the rest. ischas (693) - - APR 12, 2016
0,5 l Flasche.
