hrabren (1186) - Zagreb, CROATIA - FEB 5, 2017
0.33 l bottle from Svijet piva, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666 and Tanja 669. Had this at Pivkan few years back, just can’t seem to find the notes. Dark brown, small white head. Caramel, dry fruits - raisins or figs, wood, peat, liquor, nuts. Sweet, dried figs. Strong, medium body, sweet finish. Correctly made.

JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 29, 2017
Dark brown liquid with a moderate sized tan head. Caramel, dark candi, grains, dark charred fruit and hints of alcohol. Medium body, with full, soft carbonation. Quite warming. Flavors of prunes, dark caramel, toasted to roasted malt and candi. Some floral and herbal (wintergreen especially) bitterness comes in mid quaff. When I started this one, I was not impressed, but as it has set in my glass, I am starting to appreciate the complexity and nuances. A sipping type brew. Take some time to enjoy this one. 2/13

Foerdifuxx (365) - Franconia, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2017
Hazy dark brown beer with a medium sized, medium lasting, creme coloured head. Aromas of yeast, light floweriness, dark malt, molasses, chocolate cake, bit vanillia, red wine and spices, some earthiness with temperature. Taste is medium sweet in the beginning bit metallic, some clinic alcohole and yeast here, light salty and sour/acidic in finish with roasted malt. Medium to heavy body,

Geruch sehr schwer mit satten Sirupnoten, aber auch etwas Gemüse und Klebstoff. Geschmack intensiv mit relativ viel Alkohol, Sirup, Rumrosinen.

basjansen14 (388) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 2, 2017
Donker bruin tot zwart kleurig bier. Aroma doet me denken aan een stout. Geroosterde mout, wat honing en wat rozijnen. Smaak is geroosterd, bijna rokerig, honing en wat alcohol.

Frothmeister (797) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 28, 2016
330ml bottle. In the cellar for roughly a year and a half. Pours a hazy dark garnet with some VERY serious sediment, and a orange tinged tan head. Smells like Christmas. Candied fruit, brown sugar, dates, raisins, light molasses a faint resinous note, and many other things that make me think "fruit cake". Sticky sweet to a fault with raisin, light spice, a very faint mineral note, mild booziness, brown sugar, and faint licorice that heads into boozier notes, MUCH MUCH more of the dried fruit, light spice, some molasses and more sweetness with very mild bitterness in the finish. I’m happy to have tried it, but I don’t think I’ll venture down this path again. SO sweet.

Barwa ciemno rubinowa, br?zowa, nie mo?na powiedzie? aby by?a klarowna. Br?zowa piana, ?rednio wysoka i ?rednio trwa?a. Aromat likierowy, nieco winny i wytrawny.

artyom (1112) - Osijek, CROATIA - DEC 4, 2016
0.33l bottle. Brown color with tanned head. Aroma is malty, fruity, caramel and vinous notes. Taste is heavy sweet. Full body. Overall it’s very complex beer, just a little bit too sweet.
