carlom (72) - ITALY - MAR 11, 2017
Colore ambrato scuro, schiuma poco persistente, aroma erbaceo, carruba. Al palato amarena, liquirizia, erbe officinali, dolce ma secca, equilibrata si sente poco la gradazione alcolica.

ChewyBeer (401) - SOUTH AFRICA - FEB 25, 2017
Appearance: deep briwn with slight tan head. Sediment from bottle made this pour murky Aroma: sweet, honey, roast malt Mouthfeel: medium full mouthfeel, medium carbonation Taste: sweet, roast malt, honey, dark toffee. Alcohol hit on aftertaste Overall: good beer but i found it a bit astringent with heavy alcohols

4.2
pleispleis (130) - Maccagno, ITALY - FEB 18, 2017
bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma fine beige media persistenza, color mogano, al naso malto caffè liquerizia miele e alcool, in bocca malto tostato caramello toffe, carbonatazione piatta, corpo strutturato, amaro accentuato che svanisce con l’elevata dolcezza finale. Impegnativa ma un’ottima birra

3.6
Marstonlad (927) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 17, 2017
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours murky dark brown with a little head. The aroma features prominently fudge and caramel with dried fruitiness - seems to be on the sweet side of beers. Taste offers initially caramel and fudge, later also raisin, with a touch of earthiness. Sweet maltiness provides a strong platform on which ripe fruitiness and earthy, yeasty nuances add details. The palate is medium to full bodied with a slightly harsh mouthfeel, carbonation seems too high. Alcohol is a warming presence in the background with some influence in the taste as well. Rich flavours but does not reach the heights or the balance of the classics in this style.

hajsman (377) - Gdañsk, POLAND - FEB 15, 2017
EU Local Swap 1/2017. Aroma of bananas, spices, vanilla and alcohol. In taste, alcohol could be better balanced and first few sips are dominated with it but can get used to it and feel other tastes behind later. Generally good and enjoyable

hrabren (1323) - Zagreb, CROATIA - FEB 5, 2017
0.33 l bottle from Svijet piva, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666 and Tanja 669. Had this at Pivkan few years back, just can’t seem to find the notes. Dark brown, small white head. Caramel, dry fruits - raisins or figs, wood, peat, liquor, nuts. Sweet, dried figs. Strong, medium body, sweet finish. Correctly made.

JPDIPSO (6257) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 29, 2017
Dark brown liquid with a moderate sized tan head. Caramel, dark candi, grains, dark charred fruit and hints of alcohol. Medium body, with full, soft carbonation. Quite warming. Flavors of prunes, dark caramel, toasted to roasted malt and candi. Some floral and herbal (wintergreen especially) bitterness comes in mid quaff. When I started this one, I was not impressed, but as it has set in my glass, I am starting to appreciate the complexity and nuances. A sipping type brew. Take some time to enjoy this one. 2/13
