Bottle. Poured a clear reddish brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast, dark fruit and small alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and lively carbonation. Medium to heavy dark fruit sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish with a small alcohol burn of moderate to long duration. Solid complex brew.

L: -pours a cloudy mahogany brown with a small to medium,frothy,sand-coloured head -Yeast flakes visible at the bottom of the glass S: -plums,raisins,strawberries,balsamic vinegar, cherries T: -astringent,cherries,plums,r with a grassy bitterniss -high bitterniss for the style F: -medium carbonation -medium to full body -boozy O: Not as Yeast-heavy as the "True" Belgians.Dark Fruit esters are more prominent in this. It almost goes into Flanders Red territory with it's Balsamic vinegar note. A really good and interesting Trappist.

Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter, of caramel, raisins, figs, prunes, apples, toffee, light alcohol. Rather sweet finish with notes of caramel and dried fruits. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Overall: really good and mature quad, very nice sipper.

Cristobal37 (1191) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 7, 2017
Bottle bb 11/2018 light brown color. Woody, whisky, sugary and malty. Malty, iced tea, dried apricot, peach. Full flavor remains for a long time. Legit quad, for whatever reason it's not mind blowing, but still a great accomplishment for the only Austrian Trappist.

kapusil (1475) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 7, 2017
0.33l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Hazy dark brown body with a thin beige head. Aroma of caramel, dark sugar, raisins, plums, whiskey and surprisingly a bit of wood. Taste of caramel, sour cherries, peach, raisins and some whiskey again. Great beer.
