Had this on tap at the Lions Pride, very unique Trappist ale. A lot more hops than any I had before, and this one had a roast note to it. I even got a coffee note in the flavor. I didn’t get the typical aggressive dark fruit note in this brew. I like it

pite po terminie ważności
Piana szybko opada pozostaje krążek do końca, Kolor herbaciany, mętny z kłaczkami drożdży. Aromat owoce karmel, drożdże, ciemne słody, przyjemny szlachetny alkohol (koniak). Smak przypalony chleb, karmel, ciemne słody, cukier kandyzowany, owoce, drożdże, jest wyraźna goryczka i szlachetny alkohol. Piwo złożone, wielowymiarowe pije się wyśmienicie nie sprawia wrażenia ciężkiego, śmiało można porównywać do ikon Trapistów Brawo WOW.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy brown color, dense and lasting khaki head, good lacing. Nutty aroma, dried fruits, chocolate and bread. Full bodied, soft carbonation, smooth and oily mouthfeel. Complex deep taste, nutty, chocolate, mild roasted, bread malty, butterscotch, dried fruit and woody. Long warming finish with mild bitterness. Nice sipper!

330ml bottle. Murky brown color. Medium size, tan head, stays. Sweet, bit yeasty, boozy, roast, barley in aroma. Plums, raisins, sweet, malty, booze in taste. Booze, sweet, roast in aftertaste. Sweet and boozy stuff.

A strong, fruity, figgy trappist beer. It's a bit harsh on the alcohol side, but otherwise very enjoyable.

Brown color, large brown head. Lots of sediment. Sweet aromas of dried figs, peaches, raisins, sugar and caramel. Sweet taste with dried figs, ripe bananas, candi sugar, alcohol and yeast.

Flesje, thuis. Aardig aroma, niet heel bijzonder, ik had een mooiere geur verwacht. Bruine troebele kleur. Goede smaak, maar wel veel suiker. Nasmaak valt een beetje tegen gezien het abv, maar evengoed een prettig bier.

330ml brown bottle poured into a Trappist goblet. Appearance is hazy dark brownish orange with a light brown small creamy head that dissipated quickly. Aroma of apricot and orange marmalade, raisings, prunes, brown sugar, vanilla and nutty notes. Taste is heavy sweet and medium-light better. Palate is full bodied, thick soft texture and soft carbonation. A solid good beer for the style, a nice addition to Trappist beers.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2017 Brown, very hazy with a thin beige head. Complex aroma with prunes, chocolate and a slight touch of tobaco. Taste rich and grows with figs, dates and toffee, well balanced with some yeastiness and bitterness at the end. Very, very god!
