Nose brings a ton of pineapple and a bit of bubblegum, enticing and fruity without much of the cat piss one might expect. But darn, that flavor -- sweet, sticky, the alcohol overwhelming everything. Poor brett never had a chance. But maybe I’m the bad guy here, just too tired of DIPAs.
Huge pineapples nose with citra hops juicy fruit bubblegum and funk. Golden Amber Hazy pour white head. Flavors of
Juicy fruit and pineapple grapefruit pale malts funky Brett. Dry fruity finish with solid hop bitterness and presence. Good. Prufrockstar (2259) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - JUL 5, 2014
Draft at uber. Murky amber pour, no real head. Aroma is pine, dank, tropical, mango. Taste: herbal, earthy (like moss growing on a fallen tree in a rainy nw forest). Mildew and ripe fruit. Moderately sweet, with a nice bitter finish. Lingering alcohol. Full body, oily, soft carbonation. Overall: fun beer. ACHops (1688) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 18, 2014
On tap @ Beer Junction. Pours dark orangish copper with thin white head. Aroma is medium caramel malt and lightly funky earthy sour tones. Taste is crisp lightly sweet malt, then bitter grassy piney hops which are quickly overtaken by a tart dry flavor that rides through the finish. A hint of tart fruit there too. Not overly malty or boozy which you might expect with 10% abv. Cool combo, yet another one you wouldn’t think would go well together. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Draft at SB. Pours a cloudy bright orangey amber with a dense and creamy tan head that goes away. Big tangy tropical nose showing overripe pineapple and a tiny bit of basement peeking through from the back--sharp and tangy, but balanced with sweetness and complexity. Creamy thick body with lively carb. Pineapples and grapefruit and a bit of basement, plus sweet caramel on the mid palate. Drinks thick and heavy, but never weighted or cloying. Big beer, lots of angles to it, and always a pleasure to drink.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2014 Draft at E9. Pours a hazy orangish tan with a creamy looking off white head. Very tropical in the nose...Brett C I’m going to guess. Fruity, papaya, Meyer lemon, pineapple. Full mouthfeel, ample carb that leans toward prickly. Bitter, pineapple, peppery and dry. Finishes with more fruit, light lemon and mostly Fuji apples. As it warms, some ginger spice and doughiness start to come out more. Kind of sneaky strong.
