Pours a nice brown color. Nice head that laces the glass. The flavor is nice and malty, caramel, a hint of grain. Would prefer a little more body. Nice beer.

Tap. Pours clear deep amber, small beige head, creamy and slow to dissipate, nice lacing. Aroma is roasty, notes of coffee, roasted malt, dark toast, toffee. Flavor has light sweetness and light bitterness. Roasty, perhaps a hint of rubber but not bad overall. Light plus to medium body.

SinH4 (4945) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JUN 24, 2015
Brown-amber color with small tan ring. Aroma is dry, earthy, roasted malts. Taste is very earthy and dry, nearly at bit chalky. Dry finish. Different from what I had expected.

Tap at Cooper’s on Cannery Row. Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma seems roasty malt. Med body or so. Flavor is roasty malt, and a little nuttiness follows. Nice brown - appreciating the low nut level. Finishing towards dry, neither bitter nor sweet. Might be good with sushi.

Fatehunter (2568) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Pours no head on a hazy brown colored body. The aroma is mostly caramel with a little nutty. The taste initially has a mild caramel sweetness, then a burst of lemon bitterness followed by lots of caramel sweet. The texture is crisp. It’s too far on the sweet end for me.

Nice roast/chocolate aroma, but there is a metallic off-flavor. Moderate level of carbonation with a nice full body. I’d like for there to be a more lingering grain character for a beer of this style.

Draft at the Brewery The ale poured a dark brown with a decent white head with lacing. The aroma was of nutty roasted malts. The medium body ale has average carbonation. This is nice brown ale. The finish had lingering roasted malt.

On tap at English Ales, Marina, CA. Not much aroma; faint malts. Dry mild hoppy brown with sweet malts coming through. Hints of honey. Medium body, lively carbonation. Good brown! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
