COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed on: October 10, 2011. Packaged on October 25, 2011. Our first ever collaborative beer has all the familiar flavors of the season, but done with Epic style. To a base of strong, roasty, and chocolaty porter, we add 200 pounds of real pumpkin per batch, five spice and whole Madagascar vanilla beans. As you pour this deeply ruby brown beer, you’re greeted by the aroma of fresh cut squash, followed by rich chocolate. The flavor starts sweet with marshmallow, vanilla, and some pumpkin pie, then yields to a coffee roast and dark chocolate dryness. This beer is a great introduction for curious drinkers and a special holiday treat for fans of the style.

Epic imperial pumpkin porter 8.3% abv ... Deep brown/black pour with a nice ruby hue, off white head and sticky striped lacing .... aroma of vanilla, pumpkin spices, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and some earthy pumpkin .... taste is of vanilla, spices, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and earthy pumpkin .... aroma is better than the taste which is kind of subtle .... mouthfeel is a little slick ... body is thin .... sessionable and decent.. abv is hidden well

One of the better pumpkin beers I’ve had it still gross for me. Nice malt and dessert esque profile. A bit of spice up front with a nice little vanilla and allspice back bone. Not sweet at all but rather quite rich with a delicate hop and light alcohol presence. Malt isn’t overly roasted not robust. Well balanced and enjoyable.

An herbal spiced aroma. Immediate flavor is sweet but creamy with a strange mixture of spices. This beer is all over the place. Not sure what to honk of this. Need to have again.

Pours a dark brown. Aroma and taste are pumpkin, spices, and dark chocolate malts.

Bomber. Red brown with a decent tan head. Watermelon bubblicious, light smokiness, alcohol and cardamom aromas. Fruity candy flavor with a slight ashy aftertaste. Lighter body with a fizzy feel. It wasn’t bad, just unexpected.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer and Beyond, Tel Aviv. Release #24. Deep brownish with beige head. Spicy aroma with some roasted malt, sweetish fruits, pumpkin and coffee. Sweet flavor, light bitterness, spicy with notes of clove and vanilla, some roastiness, a bit salty, some coffee and chocolate, alcoholic. Medium to full-bodied. Rich and pleasant.

Dark and roasty and vegetal and spicy. Pretty good balance and not overly sweet.

Deep red colour. Spotty lacing white head. Chocolate and squash aroma. Very eathy flavor. Heavy vegetable influence in the taste and mouthfeel.

Draft. Dark brown pour. Pears and gummi bears and some nutmeg. Weird shit here.

Pours a dark brown with a tan fizzy head, looks like coca cola. Aroma is weak but has a little bit of pumpkin and vanilla. Flavors of pumpkin and vanilla with lightly hoppy finish. Maybe a mix of other spices but they’re difficult to place.
