COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed on: October 10, 2011. Packaged on October 25, 2011. Our first ever collaborative beer has all the familiar flavors of the season, but done with Epic style. To a base of strong, roasty, and chocolaty porter, we add 200 pounds of real pumpkin per batch, five spice and whole Madagascar vanilla beans. As you pour this deeply ruby brown beer, you’re greeted by the aroma of fresh cut squash, followed by rich chocolate. The flavor starts sweet with marshmallow, vanilla, and some pumpkin pie, then yields to a coffee roast and dark chocolate dryness. This beer is a great introduction for curious drinkers and a special holiday treat for fans of the style.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer and Beyond, Tel Aviv. Release #24. Deep brownish with beige head. Spicy aroma with some roasted malt, sweetish fruits, pumpkin and coffee. Sweet flavor, light bitterness, spicy with notes of clove and vanilla, some roastiness, a bit salty, some coffee and chocolate, alcoholic. Medium to full-bodied. Rich and pleasant.

Pours a dark brown with a tan fizzy head, looks like coca cola. Aroma is weak but has a little bit of pumpkin and vanilla. Flavors of pumpkin and vanilla with lightly hoppy finish. Maybe a mix of other spices but they’re difficult to place.

From a bomber. Pours black-ruby red and makes a nice tan head with good lacing. Aroma is of malt, cinnamon, chocolate and nutmeg. Taste is of malted barley, cocoa, and pumpkin. As others have said, it is more of a real pumpkin than a sweet pumpkin pie taste, which I prefer. Very good ale! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
