22 oz bottle, Whole Foods Columbus. Dark garnet-brown; lovely tan, frothy head dissipates into an atom-thin covering but rejuvenated with swirling. The primary note in the aroma is coffee; there is some roast but it’s light and complementary; light toffee. Flavor is a little deeper, with notable chocolate and coffee; lightly tart up front; bitterness in the finish is sharp but very light and I suppose appropriate for a sub-6% stout. Palate is low on the carbonation but creamy without feeling "thick"--interesting; light sticky. This beer feels a little "small" following all the monstrous imperial stouts and tripels and multiple IPA’s available in in the winter in the last few years. That said, for what it’s trying to be, this is very good. magsinva (1423) - Virginia, USA - DEC 18, 2012
Tap from brixx in Raleigh- forgot to review last night - aroma is more coffee then chocolate. Taste is sweet. Palate was thin for a sweet stout. Good, but average. DiarmaidBHK (5722) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Draft at Brixx Chapel Hill. Pours coca cola brown with an thin khaki head which leaves a lot of foam. Toffee notes on the nose. A bit of slickness on the tongue plus toffee as well. Finishes clean. Solid but not spectacular. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Pours dark brown with thin white lacing. Lots of maltese on the nose. Kind of reminds me of a whopper (the candy, not the burger). Malty palate is rich and creamy like chocolate ice cream. At the same time this beer is not overly sweet. A good carbonation presence gives the beer a nice balance. Simply put...awesome. pushkinwow (2889) - Ottawa, CANADA - NOV 22, 2012
Bomber from Douglas88 in a giant local trade. Dark brown with a nice light mocha head that fades to a thick ring. A nice roasted malt with some celery, light expresso, some caramel, milk. Mild carbonation and somewhat thin although still decent with a touch of sweetness. This is a decent brew but I prefer a little more oomph or complexity.

A surprisingly great beer from Utah. Loved the coffee notes and the thin mouthfeel, though not as creamy as I normally like. Overall a good one! EdInSaltLake (727) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Roasted barley aroma; a little smoky. Nice balance of roasted and caramel flavor. On the dry end of the stout spectrum -- which is OK with me. A little licorice flavor. Some subtle fruity and spicy flavor from the hops... an yeast, maybe? pinkzambia (2069) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle: Clear brown with not much head. Sweet malty aroma with some chocolate. Super thin for a sweet stout and with a semi-watery finish. Pretty good, just not for the style. Travlr (25876) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 5, 2012
Almost black, thin brown head. Aroma of earthy cocoa. Taste is sweet dark milk chocolate. Decent. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 11, 2012
