Pours a dark brown with ample tan head. Aroma is lightly of coffee and chocolate. Taste of malt, slightly sweet taste of mocha. Smooth and quite drinkable. Not a great stout, but solidly OK. A close thumbs up, mainly because I like stouts.

Pours a nice brown/black with a dense brown head. Light aroma of nuts, malt, chocolate and a little hops. Smooth taste with a creamy texture and nice palate.

Some roast, burnt marchmallow, roasted notes, some toffee or caramel. Pours dark brown more or less black with a thin head. Flavors of roasted malts, burnt marshmallow like the description says as well as tofee, a little coffee. Smooth and light with light to moderate carbonation. Not a bad stout.

Release #8. Bottle opens with a loud hiss. Pours a dark chestnut brown color with a massive, frothy light beige head that fills up half of the glass. Large chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Looks like its infected. Metallic cardboard aroma with sybtle underlying roasted malt. Definitely smells infected. Yep, a cometely infected, terrible mess. Overly carbonation wth strong mettalic chemicals and cardboard. Undrinkable disaster.

Pours a dark opaque black with a nice head. Nose is weak, taste is light chocolate and coffee and rather pleasant. Finish is dry. Very drinkable but light stout. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours a dark brown with a dissipating tan head and aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is sweet, of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel with a short finish. Flavor is light for a stout and therefore lacks some flavor.

Medium roast coffee nose, not strong. Brown, thin tan head. Sweet soil flavor, medium roast coffee. Coffee notes are more pronounced toward the end. Solid.

22oz bomber, not quite opaque. Thin beige head. A pretty nice moderate ABV Stout. Roasty chocolate tones, Not much hop flavor, maybe a little for balance. Balanced this one is, a nice amount of depth, but still very drinkable. Like the description states: somewhere between Cream, Dry, and Foreign Stout. RIght on, solid offering.

Batch #8 Dark colored body with nice white head. Aroma of coffee and other dry aromas. Flavor follows nose. Body is very light, too much so in my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a pint glass. Release #17, 5.6% ABV. 4.0 A: Black color. Two fingers of creamy tan head. Retention is about average and a thick ring of lacing is left. 4.5 S: Supple roastiness, lactose, vanilla, and coffee. Grainy malts. Plenty going on here and it all works well together. Seems to be a well made milk stout. 4.0 T: Tastes great too, but has less power than the nose. Again it has roastiness, lactose, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Grainy malts. Very tasty beer. 4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Good creaminess for how light it is. Well done. 4.5 D: Great stout. Shows that you dont need a huge ABV to pack a stout full of flavor. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-03-2012 17:59:54
