Nose is Britney funky tart salty and toasty. Pours black w a thin tan ring of foam. Flavors of Britney salt funky sour notes roasted malts more tart salt brine. Almost acrid roast notes w the tangy sour brine. Very interesting beer. Not bad. Good in small doses.
Didn’t know what to really expect here as it wasn’t classified as a tradition oyster stout per se. But it did pour dark, with an aroma heavy in roasted malt, but heavier in brine, with just a hint of funk. The flavor at first hits your jaw like only a good sour can, then as you get used to it the oyster really shines. It’s dark, near black with just a central cap and ring of tan foam. Smells like cocoa, leather, salt, some vinegar, some mteal. Taste is metal, ocean, sour cherries, soil, pork meat, some cocoa and coffee. The flavor was initially more shocking than as it has warmed more and become a interesting beer with some unexpected components. Full bodied with moderate carb and an off dry finish. Bottle:   Nearly pitch black, thin frothy tannish head, spotty lacing.   Slightly tart earthy nose, some
coffee or dark chocolate.   Tart up front, slightly lactic, soft roasted malts, very minor dark chocolate.   Sour
Oyster Stout or something?   Meh, not half bad.   Very slight metallic note on the backside as it dries out.
Moderate body and mouthfeel.   A little torn on this one, I can see the Oyster Stout, the Sourness, but not so sure
about the two mixed together.   Aside from the slight metallic note on the finish, its a very interesting concoction.
Unique at least.   Prefer the Beet Down to this one.   The lingering metallic notes pretty much scores this

Appearacne pours a dark brown color supporting a easily dissipating head leaving nill lace. Smell is slightly sour, roasted malty and maybe a little sea air. Taste has an upfront sour hit reminding me of a Belgian sour, roasted malt in the back with low hops. Mouthfeel is medium light with good carbonation. Cola body with ring of head. Molasses nose--nothing much of sea air. Rather oxidated with cardboard off-flavors and a tinny body, but some some interesting briny notes as well.

Murky brown pour, small receding head, aroma of barnyard funk, brine, cacao, flavor is extremely tart, and although nothing is mentioned about wild yeast, I’d swear I was drinking a Belgian style sour, except one infused with oyster brine.

Pours deep red with a small off white head. Smell is slight seawater and pleasantly tart. Taste is tangy and salty, lots of brine comes out, peachy and raspberry tartness, flavors intensify when swallowed. Interesting beer, but not my thing. Half-pint @ Chuck’s. This is a pretty interesting beer. Made with oyster brine. Smells incredibly funky. Like there’s salt water in it. Tastes rather sour and slightly salty. Not nearly as bad as it sounds. Way to go Epic.
