3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear amber with a small white head that’s soon less than a coat. Aroma of caramel, pears, peaches, flowers. Smells very English. Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Moderate sweetness with caramel and fruit, firm peppery bitterness with some other spice like mace in at the end. Just my sort of thing.
Clear deep amber colored with a thin foamy ivory cap. Big earthy and herbal piney nose that’s a touch biscuity and slightly crystal malty. Bright crisp and piney bitter flavor that’s also earthy and herbal, crisp and pale malty, a touch of English muffin, and a dry, herbal, bready crystal malt finish wth whispers of Amber malt and pine hops. beer-yum (1710) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 6, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2015 An enjoyable brew on its own - but not up to the usual epic standard of an Epic beer. Try one of their many other excellent brews instead. Stuu666 (13394) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 7, 2014

Dark 24 karat/copper pour with hints of scarlet and a small ivory crown that diminishes to a ring and leaves spotty lacing inside the glass. That’s about as good as it gets. Mild citrus and honey aroma...almost non-existent. Flavor shows a malty fruitiness along with slight pine and burnt orange. Average at best.
