I’m having this beer after a long day at work and damn is it fine. Pours dark as dick with minimal head. The coffee, cocoa and barrel aged flavors were so beautifully paired I had to punch the wall just to bring some disorder into my life. PhilJackson80 (531) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 22, 2015
22 oz boo. Tasted on 5/22/15. Bottle from LoneStar Liquor. Drank from Spiegal Stout glass. Amazing aroma & taste on this one. Really great balance.

Tap. Black with small head. Very rich malt with huge coffee. Mild bitterness in the finish. Complex and very tasty. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 16, 2015
This poured a dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma was of lots of.coffee, chocolate, light green pepper and light barrel. Flavor similar, a little thing, but hides the booze very well, very drinkable. Great stuff. Art (3220) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 16, 2015
Dark brown black pour with a medium brown head that quickly dissipated. Aroma of light whiskey, coffee, roasty malts. Taste is sweet with a slight acrid coffee bitterness in the finish. Slightly fudgey in the finish too. Very drinkable. Medium light body. Smooth. Lower carb. Digging it.

Black pour with brownish ring of head, fluffy. 22oz bottle poured at home from Blackwells. Nuts, coffee, roasty and milky aroma. Taste big. Cocoa, rich chocoate, rich coffee, and a hint of the whiskey barrels. Hides the big ABV - more like drinking a tasty coffee/cocoa smoothy than a heavy beer. Fantastic.. dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - APR 30, 2015
Just fyi, Mine says "release #40, 11.5%alc vol..., DEH# 1917". Bottle from Choice Beverages. Pours black with a thin khaki head. The aromas are cocoa, chocolate, cold coffee and whiskey. The mouthfeel is dry, roasty and bitter with a heavy body and good carbonation. Phenomenal brew. Cheers! hackobock (4073) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 29, 2015
April 15, 2015. Bottle (#12, 10,8%) at Oliver Twist. GnarlyGnome (673) - Fairfield, Ohio, USA - APR 26, 2015
Black with a small brown head. Aroma is coffee, cocoa, roasted, some ash and dark fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet, medium roasted bitterness, coffee dominates with some cocoa and caramel notes. Finish roasted coffee, slight spicy, some dry roasted notes. Medium to full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation.
This is really good...heavy... big... delicious. Full of all the bourbon coffee flavors that you can hope for. Chocolate finish... tasty stuff! CanIHave4Beers (4238) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - APR 21, 2015
Wife dug this rating out of some unknown corner of the house while cleaning.
Pours basically black with a small head and good lacing on the glass.
The aroma is coffee and some maple. It’s roasty, it’s sweet smelling, it’s chocolaty. The bourbon barrel is pronounced but well controlled.
The flavor is coffee and chocolate dominantly, It’s got some vanilla and generally bourbon barrel character. The bitterness balances the sweetness to some degree.
