Draft at Khyber Pass. Opaque dark brown/black pour that with soft khaki foam and lace. Smooth silky dark roasty flavors. French roast coffee. Cocoa nibs. Toasted nuts. Hints of liquorice, charcoal and very dark berries. The bourbon blends very well with the base stout. Much impressed.

Really good. Aroma is roasted barley, burnt toast, cocoa, coffee. Flavors like nose,, more sweet than bitter, perfect carbonation, great finish. Excellent body. Not much sign of the alcohol.

Bottle reads 11.5%. Big bottle. Served in tulip glass. Beer is very dark in color. Light tan head. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is malty with some coaco. Taste is lightly bitter and lightly sweet. Coffee brings some acidity. Medium bodied beer with lighter carbonation. Reasonably smooth. Over all pretty good bud bourbon barrel character is a little faint.

Pours dark brown/black with bourbon aroma. Definite bourbon but the finish was not as smooth as I was hoping. Too much alcohol for me.

Bottle sample at a tasting Toms place. Thanks DSG. Opaque brown with brown head. The aroma has lots of coffee, cocoa, wood, some whiskey, vanilla and coconut. The flavor has notes of coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, wood, whiskey, some spiciness, black pepper, a bit hot, bitterish and sweetish, alcoholic warmth. Full-bodied. Very rich, excellent.

Bottle courtesy of Ang, (cheers Ang) shared with Ang and Chris O, at Brewery Tap, Friday 21st October 2016 Lovely pour, dark, dark brown, ok probably black with a nice creamy textured head. Soft and creamy chocolate and spice combine well, bourbon envelopes slowly, stunning mouthfeel. Dry finish not cloying at all, a touch boozy. All of a sudden lots of coffee beans show, great beer.
