Bottle. Black. Thick brown head. Nice cocoa aroma with no whisky, how is that possible? Nicely balanced whisky and chocolate taste, very complex and full of character.

Tasting at Bruce’s Pad.Batch #7. Thanks to Colin. Opaque black - brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is soft and airy. Light fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts with light oaky sweetness. Earthy coffee and a touch of vanilla. Mild tangy dark fruits underneath. Whisper of toffee before a smooth dry finish. Nice one.

2017-08-04, Release #73, 12.7% ABV, 8-4-8-4-17=41
Very good management of the alcohol, it barely feels; with the dark chocolate and coffee, there is also some liquorice.

2017-04-25, courtesy of Graham, Release #73, 12.7% ABV, 8-4-8-4-18=42Big aroma of coffee beans. Smooth, roasty, some dark chocolate and vanilla, nice roasted nuts, strong quality coffee.
Excellent.

2016-01-31, bottle from Pear Delicatessen & Shoppe, Seattle; Release #34, 12.7% ABV; Whiskey Barrels, 8-4-8-4-17=41
Pitch black color; the beige head is not very persistent. Strong coffee and roasted malt aroma, a bit earthy and creamy. Strong body, but also with strong alcohol perception; moderately sweet; the flavor is very strong, roasted malt and dark chocolate in equal parts, then coffee; a bit more silky in the final, this could be the Bourbon, and with an alcohol kick.
Excellent.
